New Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS One!

I think I'll stick with my Elite-Pad.
HOTAS sounds great and big fun and I'm happy for all of you that have been waiting so long for it.
Personally I don't want to build a tray and hope for full Keyboard support to use it properly.
Also there's gonna be all this stuff in the livingroom (HOTAS, tray, Keyboard) and I have to hide it from the kids because, you know, it's a new toy...
My Pad with Chatpad is the best solution for me.
But I'd like to give it a try, please post your experience once the thing is available.

Thanks Alec...hopefully that style of implementation will be available to us on the XBox. Was that a default profile or did you have to map it manually ?

I mapped it manually and would probably recommend this. There are plenty of bindings available to download (at least for PC) but by mapping it yourself (time consuming tho it is) you'll hopefully end up with bindings that make more sense to you and which you'll remember because, when you want a function, you'll think "how would I have mapped that".

If I could use my Elite controller with foot pedals I'd be a happy camper. I'll probably give the new hotas a try, though. So does the stick and throttle separate or is it one piece? Seems like it would be awkward to use if it didn't.

Yes it does.

Ach...in a couple of months everyone will have an Xbox 'Harry Potter' cupboard with a home made desk for the HOTAS, keyboard and mouse just like my PC setup and wonder what happened to days lounging on the sofa playing games...to be honest, there's nowt like having your own man cave where you don't have to fight over the telly [yesnod]

Im not planning on giving up my recliner....I'm going to upgrade to a double recliner that has the storage in the center.
Lone that has the min-table that fits into a slot

The throttle and the joystick do indeed separate. The cable that connects the throttle to the joystick is quite short though (at least on my PC based T Flight), just long enough to place a keyboard between the two.

Hey ! Decided to retry ED and heard about this new flight stick. Great news indeed and am considering buying . One quick question . I play my xbox one from a bed and was wondering if the flight stick and throttle can work or do I need a desk for it ?

Get one of those lap tray tables and a ratchet strap/duct tape, MacGyver it

I would get a couple bits of mdf cut to stand them on just for stability. Thats what I was planing on doing if I get one. It worked when I had a hotas in my pc gaming days.

I asked Support at Frontier about the T.Flight HOTAS One

15/06/2017 7:46 am Ticket #00000171579

Following the recent revelation by Thrustmaster for the provision of a Fully Licensed HOTAS for XBox One at E3 2017

1) Can you please confirm and provide details of, if and when we can expect to have support in Elite Dangerous for the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One, on the Microsoft XBox One.
2) If support is confirmed can you explain what bindings will be available and if they will extend beyond the limit of those currently available for the standard XBox controller.
3) Do you have any details on costs and availability, will we be able to purchase it through the Frontier Store ?

Kind Regards

Hey CMDR Requiem Mortis,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

I am personally super excited about Thrustmaster's announcement as I use the Hotas X on PC myself. I've asked our Community Team about this topic, as it turns out, we have nothing to announce about Hotas support for Elite Dangerous on Xbox at this time. I'm sorry I can't answer your questions but please do keep an eye on our social channels as this is where we first make such announcements.

Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Fly safe, Commander!

I can confirm it's definitely coming out!! I tweeted thrustmaster and they have confirmed.

I can't get a screenshot of it coz my fone won't allow the upload but please trust me when I say....it is reality! I've asked them about release dates, price and when I can have their babies lol....no reply on that yet.

Am happy to take your word IiliI PEL IiliI [yesnod], ...my question was really intended to elicit some formal response from F.D. I'm sure it's coming I just wanted to find out a bit more sadly, F.D. don't seem to have coordinated too well with Thrustmaster over the announcements being made about their 'Product Exclusive'.

Joysticks:
o Thrustmaster will be teaming up with Frontier Developments for its game Elite Dangerous, with a product exclusive.

Aye I agree...it'd be nice to get some official word on elite dangerous' compatibility with this peripheral. Just a simple...expect release for an update in the future or something along those lines would seal the deal for 100% believability in my eyes.
