FD & PS4 players, you should be aware that attempts are being made to sabotage launch.

Even an E rated sidy can launch and jump then make its way to any of the thousands of systems in the bubble.

First thing I did was open map see where the first Imp system was and head out.

This will likely happen, but so will random newbies attacking other random newbies, so yeah......not sure what the solution directly will be, thankfully there really isn't any reason to remain in the newbie system so people can easily get away from this, very easily. The only reason there are 'hubs' in Elite where people gather and as such griefers gather, is because of CG's and such being at fixed locations, other then rares there is very little reason to need to find a 'specific' system unless you are interested in specific factions, bgs and such.

Dont forget, although there is no cross platform play, the game Universe is affected by ALL platforms,so they could interact with Systems to "lock " them down or make it difficult.

Do it!

I might call mine Roy the Policeman and go and protect my fellow new starters, as I already know how to fly a sidey

It's my belief that the Salomé event was organised by Frontier in part to determine how they could deal with the influx of players on PS4 launch. How many would this be? Hundreds? Thousands? Hundreds of thousands?

...all to be ruined by two salty CMDRs on Discord. Honestly it's become farcical now. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Takes a while in a stock Sidey with E rated Friendship Drive. Not what new players need.

Doable in c rated drive and scoop :) tried it on a fresh cmdr, scoop is sooooooo slow tho!

Edit- if anyone gets in a mess trying it just gimme a shout and I'll come and help! It's ten jumps or so but u need to fully fuel each jump as there is an unscoopable brown dwarf field on the way!

What is it, 10/12 LY?

IMO the Hauler really opens up the early game and I'll be aiming to get one ASAP. Doing more than a few early missions in a Sidey is a chore. The tape in the cockpit annoys me too much. Refurb please! :D

I would recommend the Adder over the hauler, and it's only 20k more credits and well worth it. It can carry the same cargo, more if you upgrade, and is a better ship all round. The only thing that's better in the hauler is the cockpit view, although some like the Adder's offset seat

I'd honestly just skip it and go for the cobra but I'm biased lol ;)

is a "carebear"? PvE focused people? What's wrong in not taking part in PvP? Who am I kidding, SDC are the y kids who want attention.

I might of b rated the drive (still cheap) but it was about 17 ly jumps, Deffo didn't A rate it as I was doing it as cheap as possible :)

You have to manually turn economic route to fastest tho as it was 18 - 20 jumps by default!

Can't stand the Adder personally and I like the superior jump range the Hauler has. Yep the cockpit view is a huge factor too. Also the modules cost more money. Next step is a Cobra III and it's soon got to if it's so desired even in a Hauler.

Absolutely nothing wrong with PvE gameplay, and I have the highest respect for people who only fly in the private modes.

Unfortunately, some PvP fans have developed this idea that PvE is "inferior gaming".

Whether they genuinely believe this, or are just trolling for reactions, I do not know.

What I do know is that only engaging in PvE gameplay is just fine.

So they want to sabotage the PS4 release because? I saw a comment on the sub reddit that they're probably players who had their ships stripped clean after the engineers fix and they're salty and other calling them sociopaths. Describes them well.
Aren't those fixes in the works already? All they're doing is showing how toxic and cancerous they are to the community.
And how stupid is being tagged as a "carebear" because I don't like PvP, "inferior gaming";my .

You need the dark to appreciate the light m8! Although in this case what a bunch of complete [oops]! :(
