They're using morse only because IT'S A TRAP!
They WANT us to find UA UPs and family, they want us to visit the ships, they want us to do things with their toys, because IT'LL BE US TO LET THEM IN. Troyan hoses. Meanwhile they are watching, scanning us, not attacking us.
They knew very well Federal Blink Code, and they are using it against us, but using their Alienish declination of it.
That's why IT'S DELIBERATE.
Ha ha ha! Totally with you! Option 2 from my list of possibilities from way back when, when we got the respsonse from MB:
"They are built by something non-human that has either human heritage or has had human contact, and has specifically designed something to communicate in a way easily interpretable by humans (It's a trap!?)"

I wonder if there is a different way to push the story forward though.
Is it just me or (after looking at Mel sector yu-f b11-1 AB 5 A) that as we dive deeper into these bases....they're looking more built up and complete? This site has more big giger-esque looking black structures around it.

Has anyone looked at the 'wrecks' and contemplated the shape from above? The spiral? The arms? How the overlay with the 'star map' in the control room? How the appendages of the arms may align with..............? I have not seen this discussed so far.
Are there clues in the shape of these entities that may drop clues or answers?

Just over the Barnacle at Merope, next to Alcazar's, the FNS Boxer sits in its task of guarding the Barnacle.
Since the 2.3.1 patch, this ship has been pointing at seemingly random spots in the sky and down, at the planet.. (sometimes clipping thru a bit).
I have a little video, but haven't seen the need to upload it, as of yet,
That's fine. Sure looks like a new sort of behavior that hints at a direction.
Today, I just saw a vid of the UL being activated to point the 'beam of light'.
The mechanic of this sure did remind me of the FNS Boxer.

Well indeed, and as others have said the Thargoids would have had plenty of exposure to it as blink code.
Anyway just to clarify in case it was misinterpreted, the point about the bigger question being why they're using human communication in my previous post wasn't meant in the sense of 'how do they know a human form of communication', rather it was in the sense of 'to what intent are they using a human form of communication'.
I'm gonna engineer at least +35 freedom into my weapons, don't worry they will have a surplus!

So, I went to Lavecon, and had a few days holiday....... you lot have been BUSY !
Just arriving at Mel sector yu-f b11-1 AB 5 A and it does look a bit different perhaps. The fog that was present at the other site's moon last night is also here, and localized to the alien structure.
