what are you actually having issues with ,, unless your doing multi cmds for 1 button macros is not needed , just shortcuts
Macro tips
The most common problem people have with macro is that the input is sent to the game too fast.
If you have a game running under 60fps frames (and therefor inputs) can be dropped.
Try using a delay between inputs. You can either use the record delays function, enter the values yourself or use a combination.
I usually record the series of inputs like I would use them them in the game, then go and edit the the macro values, just shaving off some MS here and there.
Here's a complex example for the GTA cheat IV grid we just published:
d UP;161;u UP;328;d UP;164;u UP;160;d NP4;10;u NP4;10;d NP8;10;u NP8;10;d NP2;10;u NP2;10;d NP5;10;u NP5;10;d NP5;10;u NP5;10;d NP5;10;u NP5;10;d NP0;10;u NP0;10;d NP1;10;u NP1;10;d NP0;10;u NP0;10;d NP0;10;u NP0;10;d RETURN;10;u RETURN;
As you can see there is a 161ms delay which gives the game's UI time to catch up to the input as a lot of games don't buffer and then a 10ms delay between number inputs for each entry in the cheatcode.
If you guys want to try out some more advanced stuff, most of the grids in the grid store we upload are editable in powergrid.
Sometimes I even go back and grab macro code from older grids we've made to try out different ideas.
As for new features and updates for Power-Grid. All I can say is what I continue to say (and am allowed to say
).
We are quiet because we are very busy.

Thanks for the post, very interesting. I made notes regarding the delays in macros..
Better support for larger tablets is coming. The dev's are well aware of the need for better tablet support.
I was wondering if anyone here knows of anything like powergrid that would run off a windows 7 tablet laptop like a Lenovo X201 tablet?
I have PowerGrid on two Galaxy phones - an S3 and an S5, and I'm having a few ideas for a sort of desktop simpit.
I could have the whole lot of controls (apart from the joystick stuff) on the laptop which will go down on my left just in front of the throttle, the hyperspace button on one smartphone, and the landing gear button on the other smartphone (nice big buttons.) All leaving the keyboard free for in game comms.
I'll be grateful for any advice, thanks for your time all,

Thanks, interesting. I do use a xbox controller for most of my games. Although I want to use a HOTAS set up for SC and ED.

Are you talkin about the power grid? Cos they also make peripherals. I have a Roccat headset that literally rocks my world.
A bit quiet of late from Roccat power grid central... must be deep in creating new features for the next big update to the host and app.
Started to use it but I already have a fairly extensive control setup with a comprehensive Voice Attack profile and with a Saitek x55 Rhino hotas stick/throttle, plus mouse to click on the odd menu item in station services. So was finding that the Power Grid was a bit of overkill for me, and I was beginning to try and find commands to use with it.
I still have it installed at the moment but I don't use it, although I can see it can be useful for some rather than Voice attack perhaps.:smilie:

I prefer to see a couple of android tablets with power grids on for a nice visual touch screen control panel. A tiny delay but that's fine for a slow player like myself. And same goes for voice attack, I can't remember 200 commands or so these profiles have you can find for Ed and SC. Just a simple set for me mixed with 2 tablets running power grid and a simple HOTAS or stick.
I really struggle with complex games, gave up on Arma3. SC and ED are already bordering on to complex for a casual sofa gamer like myself, but I do like them a lot. With both to only get more complex on full release and onwards. So I find two large tablets much easier, and I just live with being a little slower in-game. which suits my easy play style.

I have been using Roccat from when I heard of it, I have it on an Ipad and use it with voice attack.
With these I dont need to fumble i the dark for my keyboard. I have on my Pad many of the voice attack commands (backup, if voice attack does not act immeadiately) and a few that are seldom used.
The "key" on the pad are self explanatory and easy to see, so no kb.
And when I get canned insults (messages) going, no kb at all.
Try Roccat out it works well.
