Hi guys,

I would appreciate help finding an appropriate guild. #PCMasterrace

I am looking for:
  • Alliance
  • Powerplay
  • BGS
  • Mature (18+ minimum with majority being 30+)
  • Controlled PVP or pure PVE
  • 0 Tolerance on griefers
  • Female friendly
  • Not family orientated
  • Laid back powergamers with a dash of autism
  • Alignment Neutral - Not holier than thou pala-dims. Smuggling for the greater good is fun and profitable.
  • Not more than light RP

I am
  • Over 35 but Under 40 :-D and no I am not 39 :-/

  • Assets of around 110 million
  • I do not drink, maybe a ale once every 6 months. People who drink are fine as long as they are funny and chilled and not the angry kind.
  • My favorite colour is Green and my favorite number is 420. Though not all that often.

I played a lot because I work from home, for myself, and was out of contracts. Got 2 new contracts in starting tomorrow so will have less time but I will still play way more than the majority of people. Therefore I really am looking for some laid back retired power gamers like myself. I am working hard to get my ranks up, the ships I want and then engineer them but after that I am looking forward to freeing the galaxy from the feds and Imps :)

Hah really? I mean I see there are kiddie griefers about but i figured there would be a decent amount of mature geeks around as Elite is not the most fast paced exciting game around...

On a more serious note I guess I am used to larger communities, when the CG says xxxxxK people took part I am now starting to think that number includes console players...
To be fair that list is not hard and fast, it is just a list of ideals which can be bent as needed. Some aspects are more important than others. Mobius looks ok cept they grouped the whole world together (cept americas). I did not see an Alliance specific mobius either. Will check out the AEDC community and if all else fails will start my own mature & female friendly group.

I think it would be good to start a Mature and Female Friendly group as I havent seen anything like that. My group is not mature at all, but we are friendly to females and do have them. The demographics say something like only under 10% of players are females. It would be cool to start a group like you said.

You can find a list of Alliance related groups on the sidebar here... Alliance Reddit

You will notice that there are two discord channels listed at the top. It represents a split in the community's leadership (or some of them). Try both of them to see where you fit.

I've met many quality people who play for the Alliance, but I've yet to find a group that meets your description. Some of those groups are relatively inactive (no people on voice, barely any activity), others are not involved in powerplay, some fail the maturity check, and some are tied to a specific language group.

I would suggest you spend some time on the Alliance voice channels and get to know the people in charge of the groups before you decide to join one of them. Some of the groups and individuals there have amazing achievements to their credit, but you may find valuable insight regarding their goals and methods by interacting with them. Some of them are well grounded and mature individuals, but there is a sprinkling of strong, single-minded, and/or quirky personalities running around the place. You need to decide whether they are your kind of people or not. You'll also meet a number of free spirits who are not aligned to any group.

You can get involved in the Powerplay strategy by checking the Mahon Reddit even if you are not an active member of a group. The strategists publish weekly sets of instructions there. It is the best way to make sure you're doing constructive work.

You didnt mention which platform you are on. There are 2 alliance discords, id recommend going to this one : https://discord.gg/TXYBjgw this is the independant sympathetic one and is most active publicly and particularly in powerplay.

If you are on XBOX or PS4 id contact Sap core legion or myself (allied order of exemplars - xbox) if you are looking for lawful-good bgs gameplay. Both groups, mine and my more grounded "big brother" :) can be found on inara.cz

We in the alliance try not to promote our particular groups as the BEST as it causes political issues. The groups that exist tend to have uniqueness in one way or the other - some are more self-isolated than others, id recommend hanging out and winging up and learning the Lay

@theogilli - Thanks and yea I think so too. The only problem with that is that I am a new player and need people to learn stuff from.

@Firemane - Awesome, bookmarked and thanks :) Righto will check out the two main groups and thanks for that sage advice. I get whatcha saying.

/edit - starting two new work contracts this week fried my little brain so sorry for short replies. I do appreciate the help [heart]. Will work on finding the right group over the next month I imagine as I get more used to my new job.

Yea :p I have one ingame/rl friend who I learnt everything from, the facts rather than his opinions, and now I am annoying the ever living poop out of him cause I am teaching him things and have my own opinions :p so need new friends to learn more from :-D

I made 'Lord' for the Imps last night so last rank till 'Baron' and I get my clipper <3 That means In between work I will be grinding that. My arm hurts real bad though, from my Hotas, so after that will be looking for a break. So if you are up for some company would love to go for a ride in a vette and drink some beer over in the passenger seat and hear all about who I need to avoid so that drama and I can remain strangers :p Will friend you in game. I have been using the in game chat sever, did lurk in an alliance discord for an evening but not set up audio in it yet.
