Alien archaeology and other mysteries: Breaking News, Theories and Tinfoil Hattery

Lol. Because red ships arrived? How do you know that's not just their version of the FDL and the pilots have bought red paint from the store?

Seriously. Not a single shred of evidence for Kalaxians.

Cockpit. Actually You are right for the lack of evidence. Need better pics of cockpit or clear insignia.

I remember in a thread far far away about the UAs (TS) and UPs (TP) being human, not related to each other and the barnacles some other weirdness. Now we know they are all Thargoid. So these new ships are Klaxians, there I said it :p . Until proven wrong I'll stick with this because history shows us that sometimes it's just plain obvious and we don't need to make it more difficult and throw weird theories into the mix. If I'm wrong then you can all lol at me :p

You're right Kalaxians don't exist.
But as we're told that the official E: D novels are canon, the Klaxians do exist.

Read a few pages back, there's a big discussion. No solid conclusion either way yet in reality, for now anyway.

I'm not saying they're not. I'm saying there's no evidence, all we know is they're confirmed Thargoid. We have nothing else confirmed yet. Oreserians and Locations have never been mentioned in game, not the concepts of them having good and evil factions or anything else.

I've read the discussion. I've also read all the books.

Now if I just could find the post I saw yesterday where someone mentioned FDEV livestreams and FDEV folk confirming (in the streams) that we're encountering the Oresrians now...

That would indeed be excellent to find :)

So this is the current official lore, and no mention of factions and they're not called anything but Thargoids. Obviously if it's some secret plot they won't be I guess.

They didn't say that. They said that the Thargoids we meet now are the same Thargoids we met before.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. [up]

Yeah, that's the one. :)

Found this snippet elsewhere though:
The short answer is, yes! All the official books by various authors are considered Canon within the ED universe, however with any constantly evolving universe it would be difficult to align every detail of the novels to the game, so in some cases, you may see some disconnect.

here is the post which speaks of the Thargoids being here all along and the ship is way over the other side of the bubble.

https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/380074-GCS-Sarasvati-early-Thargoid-lookout-megaship

Maybe the Klaxxians are over that side and may attack Colonia first?

That ship isn't far way, it's less than 500ly. I suspect that's there because the old government didn't know where the Thargoids went to ground so they positioned watch posts all around the bubble. That also explains why there's three Dynasty expeditions in three different directions.

Before FSD it would have been very hard and very slow to explore enough space to find anything like the barnacles (assuming they didn't grow recently, which seems likely).

I strongly doubt Kalaxians have anything to do with it.
