Old INRA base discovery

This is is one of the more interesting lore based finds I've seen in the current update.

An old INRA base has been discovered from the "Frontier: First Encounters" era (Around 3250) in the Hermitage system.
And according to the logs found here may be the base that produced the infamous 'Mycoid Virus' which targeted the Thargoids 'living' jump drives to leave them stuck in their home system.

"Mycohazard" :eek:

Here's the location for anyone wanting to see for themselves:

Hermitage 4A
-53.75, 157.61

I really am enjoying the story stuff in this update :)

Here's a bit more info on INRA for those interested:

I saw this in DD. This gave the question, of whether the Alliance canonically has a their own Thargoid ship. The mycoid virus has turned out to be true, so I wonder... Also, inb4 someone shoots the tanks...

It´s in frontier secrets background

Hope Galnet will inform us about the discover tomorrow and all the story behind that virus for people who didn´t know the old lore.

Thanks to the OP for the info and the link to the wiki, because ED is now empty of narrative in this 2.4

Impossible to follow the plot without the forum... disappointed

I believe this featured in the BEYOND content trailer, Excellent find!

Now we just need to lure one there and blow the contents (if any) up in their face!!! :D

Unplugs controller... plugs in HOTAS... cracks knuckles... and salutes you, CMDR! o7

Purposely left them out. I'm not doing everything for you all, otherwise what's the point? ;)

Ummmm, seems more likely if you wanted us to enjoy the story you would only have published the first point in the chain (and maybe more in a spoiler). The way you have posted makes it seem like you don't know how it was found. Like the other threads.

I wish people would do that as a general rule. Post where the chain started, maybe hint at what you'll find at the end, I'd much rather follow the chain than see it in screenshots or on youtube. Flying to a set of coordinates provided by players on the forum doesn't feel the same to me (proper in game breadcrumb quests that point me in the right direction would be better still).

Yeah, I agree it would be nice if there was some proper breadcrumb missions that lead us to these things. That or make Gal-net in game more prominent in the station summary screen when you dock. I tend to forget it's there and read the articles in the game's launcher instead.

Christ, is there anything people won't moan about on here?
Christ, do people still moan about other people giving some actual valid criticisms on here? :p
