As we showed over the weekend in Ross 128, explo (prior) and bonds (during) are the only real effective defenses against murder. EDF would like to see the defenses against murder nerfed, so they can win in the game.
Names withheld to protect the guilty, and me from any naming and shaming on the forums.

It takes time to collect both exploration data and combat bonds. It's not an exploit. In fact, since 2.4 missions far outweigh the effects of that, if you do it right.
Also, murder for influence was nerfed to death because it was abused. There was a time when there was no way to defend a station against that.
Exploration selling is a bit exploit-like when sold one at a time. Maybe this should be closed. But a player still needs to spend a lot of time to get the data, so it's still not technically an exploit.
Respect is earned.Says the pilot with 10 million+ in fed bounties? We all do it, because it works too well. For that reason. I’d say murder needs to be brought in line as well. Mostly because missions, trade, and bounty hunting mean almost nothing in comparison.
Come on guys, we can keep this discussion friendlier than this. On this forum, we are people sitting in computer offices playing a video game. You’re not an Alliance pilot. I’m not some Fed-rat. We’re not in outer space fighting an intergalactic war. You can respond to Victore with some respect, and mention that murder needs a nerf without rude accusations.
So this didn't happen, then?

Sometimes, when a thread gets posted by a particular person, you just know that there's going to be some ulterior motive for it. :x
You’re still behind us in systems taken.
Does it really count when nobody in the Federation bothered to respond? We fought that one alone, and nearly won it. It was all good fun guys, want to keep the e-peen sheathed for a bit? You’re still behind us in systems taken.
I’m pretty disappointed in you Stealthie. And surprised. That whole post reeks like a nasty personal attack. Who cares who brought it up, it should be discussed like adults.
We do not lose against you. As long as this goes on both our groups and factions will be overtaken by more and more other groups.
Are you still enjoying yourself? Sure doesn't look like it.
Thing is: noone wins a BGS war, if the other party can count to ten. Both lose.
This is the reason I was so happy that the developers decided to make Jaques a Bubble 2.0. Now we all get to be in the same butt gravy, rat race, pee contest, skullfudgery. No exceptions.I think I'm begining to see why I prefer to explore - its just not this busy![]()

It's like ballcock communism.
Yeah, exploration is the only way out.![]()
That was my point, I was being sarcastic. The decision to make Colonia a hotbed of PMFs was a nice ef you towards anyone who went there to get away from this skitOh, you just don't notice it. There's actually groups laying their claim around Jaques as well. I don't remember the names right now, but I'm pretty sure there's at least one which is taking over quite fast.
There's no escaping from the BGS. [hehe]
Responsibilitywhat i would like to see is that squadrons have a meaningful relationship with the PMF that they support and in that player ownership should come with a sense of responsibility

And it's very easy to escape actually. Most systems are uninhabited.
We’re doing fine thanks, maybe expanding a little slower. But at some point BGS becomes just a pain to manage, so that’s okay. Your side seems pretty stressed and upset though. You can see it in all of the nasty responses.
.
I'm like that with traffic lights.Well, isn't that the beauty of this game for people that manage to break the narrow corridor of the grind mind set?
The serenity you find among the stars is the equivalent that I get when I change the galaxy map to filter based on allegiance and all I see around is green. [yum]
For being called exploiters for doing things you do all day, every day we are pretty cool.
You not so much.
Like the one time when your member went to the forums and pretended being a poor trader being attacked.
Or when your officer rage created a forum account to whine in other peoples bug reports.
Civility? That can be destroyed by improper conduct.
Like repeated ad hominem smear campaigns.
I brought it up because context is always important.
If somebody's complaining about a specific shady thing and it turns out that it's because people are using that shady thing against them, in response to a different shady thing which is going unmentioned, then I find my sympathy, and thus my support for their plight, dramatically reduced.
