Ships Type-10 Released!

The PD is just a 6 though?

Thats so dumb

Just leaping right to that other complaint, eh?

All ships (apparently except the Anaconda and the Python) need weaknesses, I think the distro here is a totally acceptable one. It's plenty for its stated function - fighting Thargoids - and it's plenty for a combat miner or most anything else, provided you kit it out smart.

But yeah, that is a weakness of the ship.

Well yeah? If I see shortcomings I call them out. And the Conda and Python are not perfect. They have their own set of issues and weaknesses.

I'm not gonna just sit here and say something is fine if its not fine.

Yeah, that's fair. I was just noting there wasn't even a "Yay, C8 power!" before complaining again. :)

Everyone remember to listen to what I tell them next time, and we don't have all that nonsense hysteria about c6 power and FSD that we did. ;)

The power distributor surely does not cater to weapon boating,
but it is sufficient for a mixed loadout and tools of the trade.
I welcome this, more ships should have the ability to alpha strike once
only and have to recharge then.

That is once hitpoints are back to normal;)

Apart from that the design looks very off to me,
yes simply because of that "horizontal control plane"....
and folding wings.... and fuel pods.. err bombs.

The coverage angle of large hardpoints seems to very well enable quad large turrets
for defense, while the rest can be used for ordnance.
Quite the military design, along with the smartly
rear-launching SLF-bay.

Seems fit for piracy, if it weren't a large ship;)

TBH i would welcome a turret rework, alowing for even better performance
and improving the hardpoint placements on trade-focussed ships
to optimize defensive capabilities.

I don't think so. In fact t10 is a mediocre trader ship. 432tn and more expensive than t9

Yes, if your gonna trade the T9 is a better ship - certainly when you add minor Engineering.
Even if you have a un-Engineered T9 it is still a better trader for the dubious trading advantage of the T10 especially in light of the coin you'll be coughing up.
Kill bugs in the T10. Trade in the T9.

How is the T10 a mediocre trade ship? It has the exact same optional internals as the T9 has, but with the added benefit of a larger FSD and thrusters. So with the same amount of cargo the T10 can jump farther, maneuver better, and fly faster than the T9. It completely makes the T9 obsolete as anything other than a stepping stone IMHO. And oh yeah, the T10 can defend itself better to boot.

Awcomon folks, the Lakon series of T-ships had always been more civilian or neutral type pilot oriented, and especially not naval rank locked. Now it seems traders can roam around about with more thargoid defenses. It seems like a decent alternative to the python or fer-de-lance for those in the middle stage game or even in general. More of the transport and mining type of ships in general and for a cheaper price. That's how the lore always seemed to fit for Lakon. I'd suggest waiting for the panther clipper to be the "endgame" massive war wagon freighter type, or even the Turner argent.

Well thats probably because I saw the C6 plant and C6 distributor before I saw it had the ability to be switched out for a C8. I had thought my fears from the past few days had come true and it was stuck with a C6 for both.

It wasn't until AFTER my first post that I saw on Twitter you could slap a C8 into it.
