Done that way more than once, I really enjoyed it ..

*shameless plug of opinion: CQC needs to be brought into the main game to get people to play it*
Agree.

They should add a module at the station for Pastime Activities, under which you can sign up for a CQC even in the area, or a race, and perhaps other competitive activities where you can win some credits and badges.

[Local] "Hey guys! I'm new! Any tips?"
[Me] "Don't hit boost when in a station."
[Local] "Which one is boost?"
[Me] "Tab key, if on Keyboard."
*watches player boost into conning tower at far end of station and explode*

Check. :D
OK, I will re-define my suggestion. Using your knowledge and experience, help said new Players learn such useful information as to help them enjoy and continue playing the Game.

Get stuck on the toast rack whilst carrying illegal cargo.

Misjudge your downward momentum when trying to land on a high gravity planet.

Run away from a fight with your hull at 1% (and then, for extra fun, get to the nearest station and find they don't do repairs).

Look around a nebula, for no reason other than that it's pretty.

Get interdicted and killed by a weak little ship whilst AFK.

Forget to un-bind (and then accidentally use) jettison all cargo!

Hit the 'Pause' key (on your keyboard, normally top right) and then get upset when the Game does NOT pause!
