If FD brings in a new Engineer system, ALL current engineered modules MUST revert to stock

If we want a level playing field, we need to start from scratch. It's the only way to keep current "God" builds from becoming 1-shot killers.

im fine with that, IF!!!! i get all the rolls i did before for free!

so that would be something like 5k g5 rolls...

Hmmm. You must have put serious thought about it lol. I can come up with at least 2 solutions better than yours that wil punish those who spent hours upon hours to engineer their fleet.

Just get rid of engineers entirely.

I sometimes think what a better place it would be if they never got put in in the first place, but then I would miss my pimped FSD.

As for the OP no thanks Im only 17k out from sol but I dont want my fsd to revert back to stock, it wouldn't add that much more time to my journey but knowing I have a few days of honk and jump in front off me is one of the reasons its taking me a while to get back into the game.

How about you do this post again when you can compare a "God" roll in 2.4 to a max g5 roll in 3.0. Show numbers that actually mean something instead of being a worry wort. You don't know if a "God" roll is less or more than the buffs of the incoming changes yet. So go get a fresh cup of tea, have a relax, and get back on this tomorrow when the beta is out. Take some screenies of 3.0 G5 modules, do a side by side with "God" rolls from 2.4. and THEN complain when you have evidence.

Someone that's 40,000Ly out in the black isn't going to take too kindly to having the FSD range-increase removed, and their everything-else-light-weight removed.

No problem! They just hit self-destruct and bada-bing, bada-boom they're back at a station! I can't see any problem with this totally elegant solution!

It's easier for me to say since I haven't invested any mentionable amount of time. And I still don't see why I should.

I wouldn't want to see mod's removed but I would fully support "shaving" them to comply with the new parameters.

I doubt it'd affect any explorers but, even if it did I'd bet it'd only be a handful of people who's problems could be solved via a support ticket.

I would do it if it wasn't for the 10 pages off scan info I notched up over at EDSM, most of them first discoveries and the rather large payout when I make dock.

There seems to be a large amount of "shoe repair people" written on the forum at the moment.

Beta tests will unearth a load more I expect.

Good luck Frontier, I do not envy you at this time.

Note I refer to what is written and not the writer, and this just constitutes my opinion on these writings.

It's only a very small percentage of the player base that are '1-shot killer'-griefers. Even for everyone besides the griefers, I'd suspect a lot of god-rolled modules will probably end up inside dusty storage ships or willfully converted, because the old system modules will be missing out on the new effects anyways.

Don't revert to stock. It's punishing and unnecessary.

Just tone down or remove any secondary effect on a PvP relevant module that exceeds the maximum possible under the new system. No need to trash explorers FSDs or miner's armoured refineries
