Sure, the "exploit" is a reality, as you say.

However the actions of players who would exploit under these circumstances is base, childish and disrespectful beyond belief.

As for being a memorial activity: This is not the first time that griefing has destroyed a memorial activity. I'll just reference the Walter Memorial CG as an example of a previous issue.

FD are not responsible for the disrespect so-called "gamers" exhibit; it's just a bunch of people with inadequate social skills and FD are not responsible for them.

I was in Walter's memorial CG. I was the priest in the black viper praying and blessing every commander participating on this. And I did sccold the griefers when they came to destroy people. A few people doing wrong things do not destroy memorials - they rather give the chance to good people to show the best of themselves.

UA Dump, or Bombing as it is more commonly known, it the act of gathering Unknown Artefacts from alien sites and selling them at black markets. This results in station services getting shut down as they get infected with alien goo.
Don't know the "exploit". Even if it is one.
Some consider it griefing as it serves no purpose other than to cause grief to those involved in the enterprise.
Dont know it is "threatening".
Commanders are flocking to Colonia with Meta Alloys. If one sells them to the affected station they can repair the broken services.

edit: I spent a half hour writing this, due to being at work, and in the mean time lots of replies appeared. [haha]

As much as I am happy about this developement, I can't share the optimism and would like to point out that it isn't over until it's over. The commanders that caused this might now be transferring their combat ships to Colonia and will possibly waiting for the meta-alloy carriers to further enhance the "emergent gameplay". I think it is clear griefers would have a field day should they destroy ship carrying costly and precious cargo over 22k Ly. I recommend cautious approach and taking every precaution.

Thanks for the update, great to see the community rally when needed! No need to apologise though, I think the people involved in deliberately going out of their way to sabotage this is disappointing but I'm going to try and look at it positively, they wasted their own time and raised more awareness of the event so perhaps it will get some more donations etc, good luck to everyone involved and in particular to doveengigma13 and his family.

Don't forget that NPC pirates will be after your hold full of meta-alloys from about 500 LY out, too - don't skip on shields just to carry a little bit more: it's better to get here at all with slightly less cargo.

There are plenty of local commanders who you could ask to help escort or scout ahead for you if you're not confident in your ship's defensive capabilities.

Would have loved to help out with this as I'm in Colonia space at the moment. Unfortunately as I only play at lunch each day (at work) it would take me days, if not weeks to get back to the bubble and pick up MAs.

Kudos to all involved though, another fine example of a fine community!
