BGS exploration data level cap?

I seem to remember offhand that there was a level cap per cycle of exploration data infusion to a faction per weekly tick – something like 10 million credits worth. Is that still the case?

I'm generally out in the black most of the time but would like my efforts to count toward a bit more in the game as a whole. Credits and personal gain don't mean all that much to me, but adding a significant amount to the coffers of some worthy factions would be rather nice. Maybe the excess could roll over to the next tick or something?

Do people check the sub forums as frequently? Fair point though and if a mod thinks it worthy of moving the thread over there, I'm cool with it.

I'll be looking at unloading around 100 to 200 million credits worth, roughly.

Got all the independent permits already?

If it were something I was going for, but I can pick and choose as needed anyway. Just hoping my efforts can count for a little more elsewhere, if you know what I mean. My personal gain is just finding and tagging some cool looking systems and reaching different nebulae and the like.

Yup, it was just something I did with my data when I got back from a trip once.
I just don't like seeing places I can't go on the Nav. Panel.

I've been told to only sell 10M of data per station per day when offloading lots of explo for my faction, but they could be wrong...

This is essentially what I've been going on previously was well. Well, just per tick/week, otherwise.

I'm usually not in the bubble for a week though. A day? I can manage that. :)

Is population dependent. So for Hutton, a 100000 pop system can take 10m but our 1 billion person system can soak everything you have.

In the spirit of giving an alternative view, we find that unopposed, data tops out at about 10 transactions regardless of populations size and independent of value, what varies is the influence gain achieved and that is proportional to 1/log population

It's got nothing to do with population and all to do with running the complex mechanics of factions.

Come at me, bro. I got my TI-89 at the ready. ;)

Hmm. The plot thickens.

OK, just for the sake of argument, if I drop off 200 million credits at a station in one data bomb's worth, is it worth anything more to the faction than if I drop of say 100 million?

...

I realize this may be oversimplifying things. That's kind of the point.

I have no issue with any details nor extenuating circumstances if you care to provide them.

Its unlikely that you will see any differnence... unless you were in a very active system.... making an assumption of c 8 million a page

OK. That's a good starting point. Are you able to give me some specific factors here?

It's got nothing to do with population and all to do in the help of running the complex mechanics of factions, you would know this if you were particapting in the help of player factions..

A good place to learn is here...https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/193064-A-Guide-to-Minor-Factions-and-the-Background-Sim

I appreciate the info, but feel free to add more posts here instead of editing this one. I don't want to miss some relevant info.
