Like i said, same reason i've always been here; i'm a lifelong Elite fan, was 'here' many years before ED was even announced, since A.F.E. in fact, and i'm still patiently awaiting a sequel worthy of the name. This place is now the de facto 'main elite' forum - everywhere else is as dead as Elite's traditional playstyle - and this is also the best place to discuss why ED falls so far short of the mark as to be unplayable to someone who's loved every previous version (as opposed to all the noobs here who claim to have been lifers yet know nothing about the game, spewing all manner of misconceptions and outright rubbish they've simply swallowed from other noobs who likewise seem to have learned everything they think they know about the predecessors by watching YT vids of yet more noobs who don't know what they're doing).
Doubtless the game would be totally 'fixed' if all us malcontents were simply banned from posting - this place would be a blissful echo chamber of perfectly-satiated supercruise zombies, dementedly nudging their HOTAS's up-a-bit, left-a-bit whilst dribbling, watching Netflix and sharing inane role-play banter about how enraptured they are with their £80 screen saver, o7, but unless FD wanna risk hosting an "ED dissident" forum, or one popping up elsewhere, we're probably best contained here? Dunno, soz to spoil your buzz tho.
Oh, gud, another OP'd thread about having missed the recent 'ploits which were responsibly nerfed, now moaning and whining all alone for his "boycott". I've "missed" all those big 300/mill an hour 'ploits for the past year just enjoying the game in my own way as usual. Since my start in ED around early 2016, my Cr/Hr ~ 750k and got a cutter after over a year. Credits are still much easier to make than years prior in the general working game /wo xploits. Even if you just play 5hr/week at 5-10 mill/hr you can reach up to 50 mill a week where an anaconda or t-10 is reachable within two months, and a cutter in a year. Just that certain folks expect a corvette or cutter in a month (anaconda in 2 days) is what this OP seems to be about... just because of that,..'ALL' boycott?, nah.

YOu didn't say it out right. I assumed you were implying it since that was the most recent nerf causing outrage over credits. YOu were VERY unclear in what exactly was upsetting you so I had to guess. Thats why I put a "?" at the end of the sentance. IT wasn't a statement, it was a question.
If that is a quote of mine what I'm stating there is a fact, it's what FD do.
Anything fun from the grind they nerf it.
I'm not asking for gold rushes, I have said they could make it part of the BGS as others have said also.
What I have asked for is more variety and balance that reflect the effort put in.

really? i think Elite Dangerous 1.0 is a pretty good re imagining of Elite. what it isnt imo is a sequel to Frontier, which if my understanding is correct is what you actually want... but ED was never going to have the full neutonian flight model of Frontier... 1) David Braben publicly admits he didnt like it, and 2) He does not believe it is feasible in the multiplayer environment that he wants to have supported as an option due to network lag.
now, if i was a coding genius and was making my own spiritual successor to Elite, there are things i would do differently... but to be honest, the flight model isnt one of them. personally i love it. it is essentially Elite (with FA on) with just a nod to Frontier/1st Enc with FA off.... I like it, and for me is probably one of the jewels in the game - personally i consider the stellar forge and the actual game as 2 different entities.... the stellar forge is more simulatory, the game less so.

There's less than 200 people replying to this thread out of what, a 3-400k playerbase lol - I don't think anyone will notice less than 200 people NOT logging in to play ED.
Yes, but it's important to visit the forum though. Without the forum I wouldn't have the slightest clue that I shouldn't be enjoying the game because it is broken and shallow and broken and placeholder and RNG and broken and beige.
