I see the section pertaining to USS's.

But nothing was actually mentioned about them as only Guardian sites were mentioned.

Was anything done to address finding High Grade Signal sources?

i thought it was only me, didnt know they were bugged until now
i just recently started hunting them

from all the guides ive been reading it goes something like this
"system in outbreak minimum 800ls from the star, face away from the star, slightly above shipping lane, etc, etc but your mileage might vary depending on other stars in the system blah blah, try varying your speed etc"

finding HGUSS was pretty much witchcraft even before the bug was introduced even
please fix HGUSS

I don't want to weaken my weapon loadout when I go mining, but I have to in order to fit mining lasers.

Criminals? Welcome to consequences.

Think of it as a challenge. Plan ahead.

Please read my quote again. They want the consequences.

That is, the ones that are reasonable.

Locking away a major part of the game entirely (outfitting) is not reasonable - because it makes it impossible to use and adjust hot ships as required.

Any time you want to adjust a hot ship, you have to throw away the consequences you worked for (cleaning the ship).
This removes a giant chunk of planning ahead that had been possible. It reduces the amount of options, cheapens the experience.

A much better consequence than exorbitant cleaning fees or disabling outfitting everywhere would be this:

Make any ship you put hot modules into take on the highest bounty from all equipped modules.
That way you can still equip stuff, but you cannot use it to sidestep your bounties - just spread them among your ships.

I'm on Xbox, just updated, and all wing haulage missions are to local systems. And the reward have been improved. Cheapest wing mission I'm seeing (for haulage) is playing 9M CR. I'm allied to all factions in my home system.

Are you outside the bubble?

Not sure, I have been in LTT 8517 for the last week or so and been making good credits and rep, working to a system next door, 6+ light years away, now 8 out of 10 of the wing cargo missions in both systems are 130+ light years, before the update they were as you mentioned, local, what's worse is the few that are local are paying next to nothing.

V'larr's response on 3.0.3's notes

Outfitting of ‘Hot’ Ships
We’re changing the crime system when it comes to ‘hot’ ships.
The reason for this is that the system of cleaning ‘hot’ modules in storage was creating an unfair punishment, where commanders were removing modules from ‘hot’ ships that only had small bounties on them and then discovered that the cost for cleaning ‘hot’ modules was dramatically more expensive!
From 3.0.3 you will no longer be able to access outfitting at any port whilst in a ‘hot’ ship, thus you will not be able to make any load-out changes. You’re required to first clean the ship by paying off fines and bounties issued against it. Outfitting services will then be restored.
It’s worth noting that we will automatically clean ‘hot’ modules in storage when we deploy this update.
We feel this change simplifies the rules even more and prevents players from paying unnecessary amounts of credits.

Sounds lovely to me, simplification is a good thing in my book. Plus it makes more sense that being "hot" or "wanted" makes it harder to do things in civilized places. ;)

Attacking Wanted ships (player or NPC) is now legal even if the player does not know they are Wanted

F i n a l l y !

Skimmers only spawn when you are in an SRV

Huh! You know, this actually makes a lot of sense to me. And it's a tidy way of blocking "skimmer 'sploiting", as well as making for darn sure that the infamous "falling skimmer instadeath on approach" glitch never resurfaces.

Superpower Rank-up Missions have been moved to the Follow On Missions section to make them easier to find

I dig this.

Increased the payouts for bulk passenger Missions

This too seems neat.

Missions

  • Increased the payouts for bulk passenger Missions

Don't get excited people, Smeaton orbital is still nerfed into the ground.
Just went to check there myself, Bout 20 minutes of board flipping and just no proper missions are spawning. Got one to transport 18 Politicians for 2 Million.
Not worth it in the least, I'm wondering why this patch note was even included, No increase here at all.

Thanks for the patches.
However, is the Fire Group bug fixed? i.e. setting fire groups after outfitting causes the game and Windows to lock.

Cheers

Yeah i was loving beeing wanted having systems that i had to sneak into , beeing chased out if i got scanned and so on heck i was wanted in 10 of the 11 powerplay factions that was like a merit badge to me , get them all and be a fine upstanding PVE pirate. this change basically removes all the crime and punishment systems that was put in place for hot ships etc cause some few players cant read their modules where hot? A bit drastic to remove a whole game play feature for a INGAME professions cause some players dont understand how the crime and punishment works.

The intent of the entire system wasn't to pay off you fine/bounty every time you get one, I'm a damn law breaking criminal. This is now not an option as I can't even swap Hatch Breakers for another Collector Limpet in a damn lawless Anarchy system. This isn't consequence, it's foolishness.

I bought and outfitted a shiny new Corvette and FdL and then shipped them to a well-equipped base in an anarchy system for the specific purpose of having them available to do bad things.

This kind of ruins that idea before I really got started.

Surely part of being a criminal should be that Anarchy systems are your "Home turf", where you can be relatively safe, in the same way that High-Sec systems should be for lawful players?

Just to get this clear.
If i have now a wanted ship with the Fuel Range of 30LY left and got no scoop in it and the next IF-Facillity is 31LY away it will be forever hot because i cant get to IF. Right ?
(Refueling is not possible while ship is hot)
So no way to get new fuel in forever. Time for selfdestruct or some friends with transfer drones.

All this C&P system really sucks lately. As a player who wants no bountys its very annoying that you are now locked from station services even for the smallest
things (mostly scaning a private datapoint for those scan missions) Every scan mission now means: fly and scan, go aaaaaallll the way to IF to pay those 100CR and then aaaaallll the way back home to get the reward for the mission.
My solution would be that i can pay of every fine/bounty/whatever in every station. If you are above a threshold then you have to do it at IF. That would make the life of a lot of pilots much easier.

  • Fixed Sidewinder hull panels rendering incorrectly when viewed from inside the cockpit

Nice to see the invisibility paint has been scraped off!

Now then, in the spirit of always asking for more, any chance of getting some of those nice weapon port covers (like the ‘conda got) for the Sidey and Cobra?

Re the Outfitting lockout - I don't see how this makes sense from a game mechanics perspective: surely an Anarchy faction wouldn't care that you are in a hot ship?

And why oh why Frontier don't you make these significant changes in a beta instead of the live game?

Notoriety does decay while docked, however it will not update in your statistics until you undock and jump to supercruise.

Well that's really useful isn't it. /s

I feel like you missed something here. It isn't civilized space, it's literally everywhere. Anarchy included.

effecient jump it

It’s always wise for a mechanic to comment on brain surgery because they obviously have first hand experience and changing a muffler is just the same as removing some malignant tissue. Right?

Oh.

What has this ^^ go to do with the price of fish? :S

2 Million for 45 Passengers, travelling over 1.8 Million Ls.
I see no pay increase here.

Fully agree.

I love the C&P system and all its changes but it should absolutely have no impact on anarchy systems...that's the whole point of them.
