No, I am saying any activities to where players are intentionally effecting one another through PP and BGS. Should be Open Only. All personal Progressions, Storyline whatever can be done anywhere.

If you PVP, you do it all. Not some of it, because another mode is more convenient. In this case, Bots would die until they had no rebuy. PVP would have its place with other commanders because of definition. Instead of griefing like we have now.

Do all of the PVP. Or dont do any.

Why would a PvP player want to shoot braindead bots?

To stop them from attacking player systems. For the same reason I want to kill other commanders in powerplay or BGS attacking player systems.

How you could use those on solo player games. And no one cared?

Well now people are using game genies in the MULTIPLAYER PART OF THIS GAME. When it comes to other people thats when it makes a difference.

I’d like to throw in a suggestion your way, and if you agree, you could pass it on to FDEV. So, I suggest a simple image-based security access to Station Services like CAPTCHA e.g click on the limpet:

There are many other forms of CAPTCHA but something that works in with some Elite Dangerous lore would be nice, and I for one wouldn't mind just a little CAPTCHA when I dock to ensure our game rolls with less cheating.

There are already bots using image recognition software to fuel-scoop. Devising a sub-routine to defeat a CAPTCHA shouldn't be that hard.

I intently watched the videos Mab, but I agree that an Image CAPTCHA will not be enough. Could you please have a read of this research paper and let me know what you think:

FDEV have always said combat logging is hard to detect and that we should report it so they can look into it and take action. They also provided the block function so you can personally get rid of anyone you don't like playing with, rather than just ranting about it.

So this is supposedly being used by an incredibly small amount of players, doing something an incredibly small amount of players do effecting an incredibly small amount of players. To quote Inigo Montoya "You keep using that word, I don't think it means what you think it means".

Cheating is cheating and should be dealt with harshly at all times but in no way is this an "epidemic". What is an epidemic in game, bugs. The unreal amount of near game breaking bugs that effect every player every time they play.

Including BGS bugs, like the one that allows an exploit so that ATR never show up.

The investigation done by SDC that showed reports are not investigated at all, and accounts are never banned.
