Community Event / Creation Chaos Canyon... a course for crazy racers

proudly presents.. the Chaos Canyon

This is a fairly straight forward course we have located in our home system of LP 339-7

It is a figure eight with some hair-pin turns and some narrow passes, and of course a deadly intersection that is sure to provide some close encounters of the high speed kind.

it's address goes thus:

LP 339-7
planet 5A

5.7543
37.6208

facing 330 degrees

below is a map of the course, which also doubles as a video of me doing a few laps.

this whole planet is pretty much a Malic Vr canyon racing dream, full of twisting turns and deep, narrow gorges.
If the Chaos Canyon is experiencing it's night-time, I am sure it wont take long to locate another track around the day-side... or you could man up and race it at night like I did :)

This is not an event, just a location that is cool and that I thought I would put up for the community to check out.
feel free to come on down and check it out, maybe the buckyballers might descend on us for a tournament one day :D that would be a nice surprise.

SHAZAM!

Did somebody call?

:D

Looks like a nice course, this is for ship racing right? (I'm guessing you haven't tried it in an SRV?).

We (the Buckyball Racing Club) don't really do canyon races. Our races are generally not run in a live multi-player instance but rather are done as individual time trials run over the course of a week or so where people can run whenever they fancy and as many times as they fancy with the race organiser collating times into a central scoreboard that's displayed on a forum thread. We use screenshots as evidence for people's race entries and that's obviously difficult to do for a canyon race since they're are no obvious checkpoints.

What you might want to do is contact the Elite Racers as this is more their kind of thing.
