I only ignored the other comments in the same manner you conveniently forget Sandro's when quoting dev sources when youre not spamming that wall. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander, and all that.
The only post of Sandros I ignore is the one he retracted.
As there is no point banging on about something he said isn't happening.
However you lot ignore everything that you don't like, regardless of who said it.
I wish you would, then your opinion would become as authoritative as its tone, rather than just your opinion.
As I recently said to another forum user, any "tone" you perceive is down to you and nothing to do with me.
I only share my opinions and direct information from Frontier staff that I link back to where they say things.
If you want to read it in any "tone" - that is your choice, not mine.
No, what I (notice 'I', not 'you guys') scoff at is people who either refuse to learn from their mistakes, refuse advice and act outraged or tar anyone who dares to deploy hardpoints at them as a griefer/ganker, regardless of the scenario. As well as those of course who take death in q computer game where its allowed as tragically seriously as we see here.
Well, as I've taken the mick out of people who post "I was killed in open" threads and still do from time to time - you're right.
This is why I've said time and time again, when people click a multiplayer mode, a warning should come up on screen to remind them those modes are PvP enabled.
There is information on the "The Wall of Information" that can be used to retort those types of players and point out how getting shot at by other players is part of the game and always has been.
Aside from the Fortifcation targets, expansion targets and homebase systems in powerplay or the CG system of the week (which you stated earlier you dont play and have no interest in), you're right, there's absolutely no chokepoints in Elite Dangerous.
And when I say 'repel' I mean 'evade/survive an interdiction' which you know full well.
I know what you type - I'm not a mind reader, you typed "repel" so I respond to "repel".
As for everything else, it can be done in Solo or PGs (with or without PvP rules) - so my point stands.
People can move about the game freely, in any mode - there is nothing anyone can do to stop them.
Apart from the added risk of being attacked by a player who isnt some low grade, easily avoided AI you mean?
Don't get me started on the AI, my favourite Dev is MOM (SJA) and it's criminal that Frontier hold her back.
But we keep getting told the AI is for the "average" player, and without any proof to argue against it, we just have to accept that not everyone finds the AI easy.
As you find the AI so easy, you should be happy you're not "average" then.
I'd explain for the umpteenth time how PvP affects powerplay, but your on your sanctamonious high horse and clearly not
I'd explain for the umpteenth time how PvP can be completely ignored in Power Play, but you have your fingers in your ears still.
Another misconstrued generalisation. PvP and Open advocates simply state that Open is not the 'you log in and a griefer comes to your house and kills your dog in front of your eyes' world the hyperbole spewing Mobius advocates used to write in their 'I got.killed in open' drama threads.
Open isn't the safe haven (for most people) most "griefer" groups would have us believe either.
Funny how you only complain about one side over exaggerating but not the other.
Youre not the forums answer to Batman, get a grip.
No, I'm Deadpool.
Broad generalisation again. You conveniently forget to include why sandro backpedalled, with the PvE community doing what they did with SJAs AI overhaul, crying tearing at their and demanding their job while threatening legal action and all the usual nonsense that somey seem to do when it looks like Frontier might introduce a modicum of difficulty or challenge.
Sandro said he was only "musing" - which means he was only thinking about it - not actually doing it.
And he back peddled because it was a stupid idea which he shouldn't have shared without checking with his boss first.
I've answered the AI part above.
