As I've been away for a week and missed a fair bit, what quotes have been "(mis)quoted" ?

The one where Sandro said they are only thinking about open open only, or the three where he had to reinforce that it is only for Power Play, due to PvP'ers / "griefers" claiming the entire game was going open only.

The clarifications are what they are....as I have pointed out.

People take the bullet point change list to mean it is coming...whatever problems we can spot ahead of time are able to be modified. In the vision of many, this is the devs talking out both sides of their mouth, and to me more importantly, is an action that will be damaging to the game, whichever way the devs decide to go with this.

Phisto properly pointed out that this is a gut check for the devs on the most basic design of the game, equal access by all modes to all parts of the game. If they feel that this can be changed, then there will be precedent for more content in the future that will be based on lock outs of who people desire to play with.

Hmm... what version are you playing? I have loads of resistance sent against me, have been interdicted by weak and strong ships, someone posted just the other week his shielded T-9 getting interdicted by an NPC and mass locked. He couldn't get away in time... must be some powerful confetti. Solo and PG's are not safe zones where you can get away with anything scott free no matter how many times you, Goose and, others want to assume.

This is how crazy NPCs get in Powerplay- when you defect, you have assassins sent after you- scary, heavily engineered brutes that will snap you in half....except they send an Eagle. With no interdictor. It menacingly loops around you, trying to make you dizzy so you either crash into a star or nod off to sleep.

Having summarised the thread, I'd expect that you are well aware that Sandro has not said that, quite the opposite.

You will also have noted the calls for the same to be done to the BGS as is proposed for PowerPlay.

Your experience with PP does not speak for everyone else.
That's like saying other people cannot be hungry because you have a sandwich. It's nonsense.

I've had all sorts sent after me when I was doing Power Play.
It's one of the reasons I quit it, I like to just potter about the universe without constant interruptions.

As for Sandros posts, try reading them. Nothing has been decided yet, but somehow you're all acting like it's happened already.
If there is a change, it is slated for the end of year - and that is only if they decide to do it.

I fully understand what Sandro meant, its like the third line in. And people are genuinely excited about what was considered by everyone to be a dead joke feature- genuine optimism that has caught peoples imaginations again. People can hope can't they?

Im on PS4 and was never given access to the Cobra MKIV. Platforms and modes are not equal. Both of which were included in an update. FDev reserve the right to tinker with any update because its not actually removing content from you, but making changes to content that was added. I really dont see how any of these arguments you all are bringing to the table in your mind provide a leg to stand on.

On top of this, Frontier by now is in favor of Open, musing about to over a first considerable premium, exclusive mode content. No not just anything, but a well established part of Elite's gameplay.

So what you're telling me IS your purchase date is more important and you have no concerns that content has been walled off from me because my gameplay means less than nothing in comparison to your gameplay in a game feature that you have no desire to partake in?

Now that we have established where we are starting from. I would like to circle back to my last point I made when I asked if I am allowed to be just as unreasonable as you are; can we bring back planet scan stacking missions, massacre stacking missions, suicidwinders, etc. These were all included in the game frontier sold me and promised I was receiving upon purchase. Some of these were from free updates that FDev changed. I demand they reconsider and fix them to how they were originally at MY purchase date. If not I demand a full refund even tho I have a full 1000 hours, which I realize is much less than those we have established are much more important than I am.
