Amazing player interactions outside of community goals

Yet, "might as well not be" isn't the case though, is it? Each one is clearly a representative of a "power"- and currently a single power alone. (which future events with Ailing Duval will be quite fascinating to watch, given the marriage and all that)

Again- it's exactly how I personally interpreted PowerPlay as it was presented in the game- not "recent changes in narrative" that Sandro has presented as a focus for altering PowerPlay mechanics, etc. My point is that interpretation isn't solely based on one person's perspective- and telling players that they're "exploiting" because they're playing the game the way it was originally presented is simply incorrect. Does it differ from how you play? Indeed! Do you wish it were different? I'm quite sure you do! ;)

Now... the "botting" and other things being discussed that were not originally presented in context of gameplay are a wholly different matter- and I'm inclined to agree that no matter what side of the "fence" people swing on it should be completely disallowed. :)

A Power does not equal a superpower. The hierarchy is factions/ PMFs, Powers, Superpowers. Mahon does not equal the Alliance and so on- they are facets of superpowers, or not aligned at all as with indies.

Has ZYADA been mentioned in lore? Has any victory in PP ever been mentioned in Galnet? At the very most these have been mentioned in local player submitted stories, and at extreme difficulty getting them published.

I'm confused. I thought the maximum numbers of players per instance is 16? Die they expand that?

Edit: NVM, apparently it's 32 allowing up to 50 with wings.

It was sold as 'play your way' by D.Braben with a mode system at launch, those wishing to change this are being unfair to those who bought it for this reason.

powerplay was never advertised, it was delivered out of the blue to customers who had paid in blind faith. frontier could have delivered blue space elephants.

also, changing pp is not changing 'teh mode system(tm)'.

ED has changed over its lifetime, and will need to again to keep relevant. Offline /Mac went away, and I expect more hard choices will come along at some point.

The frustrating part is we don't really know that full extent of the changes- missions and 'successes' might be the Solo PP side for all we know.

yeah, i didn't know. but upping the limit doesn't mean it works consistently. it doesn't, that's what needs fixing. but good to know!

Well, from a livestream with Dav he said he doesn't recommend to try to stuff to many wings into one instance even if it's possible, because the network experience will be affected by the slowest internet of any of the players.
So in other words the more players per instance the higher the chances that you experience lag.

OK, read these. But I don't see how this answers I posed. The video from one of these Reddits post

shows no cargo haulers at all, only combat ships doing er, combat.

For most people its simply being able to prevent / inhibit other rival commanders beyond outhauling them anonymously.

Right now you could remove Powerplay pledging and simply haul for a Power you like because pledging serves no purpose in Solo or PG.
But again, I don't see any cargo hauling by players advocating PP Open only play. All I see and hear is the desire for PvP combat in PP; using ships fitted for combat.
The conclusion being that this, the 'outhauling and greater risk', is just a red herring.

Apparently it does indeed "matter", as 3+ years of your whinging to make this game EVE-in-cockpits hasn't actually manifested itself.

As far as your opinions go, keep on with the keepin on. Perhaps some year you'll actually make a "difference". Maybe when Frontier decides to revise CQC?

By the way... reporting my posts only shows your weakness. But by all means, please continue to prove that.

Actually when I was in SDC we had an impact on several patches and fixes to PVP, even brought up gaming networks to pick up on our exploits so it has manifested itself plenty of time in the past 3+ years. We even forced fdevs to change the TOS and we exposed the customer support team for not following the standard procedures for combat log reports.

Also since you are clueless, did you also forget the AAA group discussions? Nah, you don't because you never participated in anything outside of this forum. I get that you are salty, it's fine but don't act like you did anything more for this game than whine like every other person on these forums.

Look, I'm no "stranger" to PvP. Just in Dark Age of Camelot alone I did 8x8's for 2+ years DAILY. (let's not even talk about other games...)

Pray that I never do want to PvP in this game.

Still waiting, 1v1 at the sun anytime.

Like it or not, the potential hazards in Solo are much less than in Open, being in Solo and PG allows for exploits and game breaking behaviour to go potentially unchecked.
No they're not. You can get killed in both Solo and Open.
There are exploits all over this game! If an exploit is in one mode it's in the other modes. One could say 'griefing' is an exploit as is combat logging.
Game breaking?

Winters expands via hauling- so haulers expanding Capo had to fly through that, and be supported by their teammates to do it.

Take that video I posted, what was safer- Capo in Solo or Open that day?

PP NPCs are generally useless, and are like ants compared to player ships. Do PP NPCs use engineered weapons? Do they even use their own specific module? Do the defection police even carry interdictors?

Then join some Powerplay Discords and find out for yourself what people want.
