I can guarantee one thing, if FD do announce anything about ED, someone here will immediately call the liars and give a long winded explanation as to why (with no proof but that has never stopped the doom and gloomers)

I really hope for some Q4 early gameplay, considering that we are getting quite close to Q4 release. Anyway, as said before...I am happy for all news, so I am not the one to complain

Just wanted to set the correct expectations about what we're doing at Gamescom. As with previous Gamescom Frontier Meet events, we've focused on what's coming in the short term with our game releases, we've had giveaways, food and drink, and created a space where you can interact with the developers and meet each other (in some cases for the first time in real life!).

This year will fit the same mould, with us detailing what's still to come as part of Beyond.

As David was quoted in this post, we are still working on Elite Dangerous, and we'll let you know when we're ready to share our plans post-Beyond.

Yeah he's is saying what's coming at the Elite Meet. I do wonder what they are showing behind closed doors though.

Pretty sure they'll show the 3.2 trailer they'll release publicly anyway a few days before the update goes live.

WOnder if/when they'll give any infos about the Premium Content they teased long time ago, nothing at GC and radio silcence is not a good sign about it imo.

Well, as Ed said, they are not to give that info out just yet. While Gamescom might be good platform to do that, obviously FD have other plans. Let's wait and see before jumping to conclusions.

Whatever this might be, it is irrelevant for us as the journalists will honor the NDA - in contrast to the fans present at the EliteMeet party, who will likely leak some information despite being asked not to.

So, all articles written in the gaming media based on the information gained during Gamescom will be published at the same time FDev will tell us about upcoming premium DLC anyway.

I totally agree. Still doesn't stop me from being interested in what it is.

Previously gaming websites have released articles the day before Frontier announced stuff officially. NOt saying that's the case here, but from updating my blog Im pretty sure this has happened several times before.

There doesn't have to be an NDA for press. Frontier have done a lot of exclusive stuff for some gaming sites in the past.

Somehow I got the feeling that FDev will announce something publicly during Gamescon about 3.2.

Ed dropped interesting comment about FD announcing things at Gamescom, pointing out that they have really done that only in first year. It sounds to me he implies Gamescom just isn't used for that anymore (not because they might not have nothing to announce yet).

PS: BTW, I remember at some point there was the same ammount of detail on the 1.X season content than there is now for the 2.x and 3.x no? I can´t seem to find those 1.x details in your blog anymore I think, only the high level overview.
