Ship docks, CQC structures and other new in-game assets

Oops (again), still behind on this thread but ... just wanted to say that I decided to go out and try some stealth data piracy today and it's really good fun and a nice change of pace. Had to visit three installations before I found one with hackable data terminals and in the process realised that installations have evolved a fair bit since my early visits. They're no longer all just characterless shinies to go and look at, some seem to have back stories (e.g. I managed to rescue the occupied escape pod from the story at Istanu), some have trespass zones and large fleets of openly hostile guards (Izanagi) and the whole silent running gameplay around stealing data (and wow ... sooo much data!) at Inti was awesome. I'm going to be re-visiting a whole pile of these over the coming days and will be adding brief notes in the OP about what you can find there.

P.S. quick tip for anyone else who wants to give those installation data/cargo hacking scenarios a go, once you've data link scanned the installation (to find all the interaction points around the installation) and have then got close to and data link scanned a specific interaction point (e.g. a hackable data terminal), you need to go to your subsystems panel on the left (or else use your "target next subsystem" binding) to target the limpet attachment point before you can fire off your recon or hatch breaker limpet. Took me ages to spot that I was missing the last part of this sequence (thought I'd brought the wrong limpet controller for quite a long time).

A couple of new entries for the Colonia region:
* Tir Research Labs - Scientific Installation at Tir A6

* Gordon-class Bulk Cargo Ship MKZ-892 - carries refinery products between Tikurua and Colonia (route Tikurua, Rohini, Gru Hypue, Colonia, Gru Hypue, Lagoon Sector) - the first one found which goes as far as the Sol bubble from Colonia, as opposed to just serving the highway stations.

This Installation was created as part of this Community Goal

The Colonia Website has this documented with the Specific Gru Hypue & Lagoon Sector star system names.

Colonia, Gru Hypue KS-T d3-31, Lagoon Sector NI-S b4-10, Tikurua, Rohini, Gru Hypue KS-T d3-31

I in-character opened fire on that ship. I truly wanted to reduce it to atoms: it's the only way to be sure.

Turns out it had been claimed by the local faction.

"O HAI Interstellar Factors. Can I have a quick wipe, please and thank you."

This is interstellar regulation that one can not interfere with discovered generation ships. So the local faction is just abiding interstellar law.

As recompense for finding humour where I probably shouldn't ;)

New little story - Halbangaay 3 A has a Listening Post ....

the LP points to an attacked Megaship the Welcome Deviation in Kachirigin

and that leads (probably) to a Scientific Installation at Guara 4 (sorry, forgot to take pics, nothing special). More at https://canonn.science/codex/the-welcome-deviation-story/ .

It was all found by CMDR PanPiper
Excellent, thanks (and no problem re: the "humour" - it was very funny)

Generation Ship Phanes discovered by Nexusprime and Nappa96: https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteDange...generation_ship_discovered_within_the_bubble/

Located in Cephei Sector NX-U b2-0, at planet B 5.
Excellent. Went there this morning - screenie added to the OP and here's a couple of little bonuses (some might say it was disrespectful to set off fireworks but I can assure you it was all done in the best possible taste).

Two New Surface Sites in Etain:
The Prophet (attacked) at Etain 4 C
The Sanctum (unconfirmed) at Etain 4 A

Found via Eagle Eye - finally it gets something interesting

Oh, and they are Far God related ....

Cool - also added to OP and personal TODO list (I'll see if I can grab some photos while I'm there too).

P.S. I've also linked a really excellent guide to the generation ships courtesy of Sapyx to the bottom of the generation ships section.
