BREAKING NEWS: GNOSIS STRANDED, GALNET NEWS!

FDEV THIS BETTER BE FAKE NEWS.

There are over 1,500 pilots aboard the Gnosis, and some of them have been waiting as much as a full week just to be prepared. And some of us have poured hours into engineering and griding to get the upgrades and modules we needed for our expedition into the unknown. And some of us have spent hours traveling to the Gnosis, making 30 ly jumps or less on our combat ships, trudging along until we get there, just to spend millions of credits to transfer over modules we need for our trip.

Collectively we have invested thousands of man-hours and billions of credits into this one trip. Saying that this is a disappointment would be an UNDERSTATEMENT.

It's downright embarrassing for FD.

So... I was thinking- set an alarm for 2:30 am, have a cup of tea and see what’s up, who’s in my open instance, nice time.
Can this be real, they are such a lame exploitative and sneaky bunch of dweebs, going out to put a new half windshield on my Maverick Trail 1000 dps.
Unbelievable-

Now why don’t we have extra character slots on pc like onPlaystation...

To be honest I'm more amazed at the absolutely epic fail level involved in that being published on the galnet site six hours before the jump.

To be honest I'm not even mildly surprised. I would have been amazed if they somehow got it right. Of course, there's still time for it to become Fake News (tm)

If this turns into a CG, I'm going to laugh until my abdominal muscles need physical therapy.

If I were you, I'd be putting your physical therapist on speed dial right now...

Sigh, regardless of the spoiler, the outcome still is incredibly disappointing. I mean, , at least they could have made it in the Cone Sector, and the pilots federation removes the permit lock on a path to the Gnosis so it can be rescued. Pilots face several hyperdictions on the way to the Gnosis and so on....

So yeah I just woke up to this. And here I was having a nightmare of accidental detaching from gnosis right before the jump to buggle around before losing internet connection and therefore missing out on the trip. Somehow this is worse considering the work the community put in. And I'm extra salty just for this:

Good job Frontier, you still got the time to reconsider. Clocks ticking and all that.

I sincerely hope, with all my heart, that they get All Hands in the office tonight to fix this. Some way. Some how. Because for all my salt, the people who have stuck with Frontier through the crap they've doled out the past two years...those people deserve better than this.

If you've come to fight Hydras, then I can't see what difference it makes what system we end up in. If you came to explore, then we already knew that was not going to happen when the cone was locked. I'm not sure what else people could have been expecting.

I... thought I had my expectations firmly checked and grounded in realism.

This is significantly worse than just ending up in a perfectly ordinary empty system that you can't leave for 4 weeks.

Try not to despair too much guys, the CG will have decals!

Should We All get out of the ship before the attack and cruise away.
Look, I did use my second account in case it was just lame Lost In Space! Time wasting but really this is too much.

The dev team is stuck in 1998 gaming, 0r tabletop role playing, dungeon master gotcha moves and abstruse puzzles that lead nowhere...
And now I’ve a ship in the boonies surrounded by stupid Mushroom frisbee goids that are such a Yawm...
I’ll see myself out.

Wow. So frontier are clumsy as well as not working on elite. Awesome. Anyway who cares.

Wonder if there will be a CG to go along with it and months to repair it. The most cruel joke would be to need to ferry back repair cargo from the bubble.

That article is real, so they can't exactly god hand it now, the station will need repairs. Poor canonn, they're turning out to be pawns in some content strategy from frontier.

A better story. Which is sadly one of the things FDev's storytellers are clearly not very good at. They really need to learn how to be better GMs. Luckily there's tons of helpful pointers all over the internet, including youtube for some of the easiest to find. Not that they'll ever do so.

They pulled a jaques. Again?

Oh well. Back to NMS. Suddenly that decision over the FOMO paint job is really simple.

I'd be surprised but.. I'm not. Frontier are too reliant on 4 year old events that have some of the lowest engagement ever, and excitement is deciding which biscuits to have today.

Have a great day all!
