News Beyond - Chapter Four - Beta is live!

Well, this is the first time I'm downloading an ED beta on Linux before Windows (don't worry, I will repro any bugs on Windows before reporting them).

How's that? VMWare Player? SteamPlay? Highly interested since I formatted my windows partition the other day after ragequitting after a bad grind burn.

Shan't tell you - you probably had very good reasons if you went so far as to burn down Windows, and you shouldn't even be in here vicariously reading the Beta thread :D.

Oh, go on then: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...ng-Wine-EXPERIMENTAL-NOT-OFFICIALLY-SUPPORTED

Don't blame me when you're living in the penguin cage at the zoo, eating raw fish in return for bandwidth ;).

I know, I have a love-hate thing with ED. And it was literally the only reason to keep the windows partition, it's been years that I'm linux only in both work&home.

Thanks for the laugh :D

Do any player changes (engineering etc) made during beta carry over when the beta is finished? Im in the process of upgrading ships and i dont want to lose progress!
