Everyone's complaint about 2 new ships and no explorers but the module changes to beluga dolphin and orca is like providing 3 new ships too
I'd like to see some Military/AX varients of some existing ships

Ships getting buffed/changed does not make them new.

Thanks Paige. We already know that 3.3 will contain the Mamba and Krait Phantom, and we have a good inkling that the Mamba is yet another combat ship. It's the Phantom we aren't sure about yet.

Understand that the past 4 of 5 ships added to the game have been combat ships. The T-10, Chieftain, Challenger, and Crusader, not to mention the three new combat SLF's too. The Mamba will mean the last 5 out of 6 ships are combat. Non combat players would like some new ships to fly too! Especially seeing how 3.3 is revamping both mining and exploration. If the Phantom ends up being combat too then that makes it 6 out of 7 ships.

If both new ships are combat ships then please tell Ed or Will or whoever is doing the stream to be ready, because that won't go over very well in the chat. There comes a point where enough is enough. The combat focus when it comes to ships truly needs to subside for a bit. Lets please give the other aspects of the game some new ships too.

I suspect some of us are reading WAY too much into FDevs comments in an attempt to get the answer some wqmt from the answer we actually got. 2 ships means 2 ships. they didn't bother "hiding" them. rhe ships weren't supposed to be a surprise. they were just unavailable for players to focus testing.

So Krait Phantom amd Mamba it is...I think unrestricting passenger slots on the SK may turn out to be the more interesting move than the new ships.

the Orca with unrestricted slots is probably the new mining ship everyone is looking for.

I would love to see FDev do something interesting like make the Mamba into a shieldless (as in cannot be equipped) hull tanking turn fighter or Phantom a shieldless but very stealthy scout or mission runner ship but I doubt that'll happen.

I kind of remember Sandro talking about their desire to revise the Asp Scout, many months ago... Can't find the source, but I am pretty sure it was said...

- Increase it's speed
- Remove the X2 medium hardpoint and add +4 small hardpoints (total of X6 small hardpoints)

Now we have a medium sized "fighter" with the maneuverability to handle small crafts but lacking the larger weapons to engage large ships.

this was at the same time as the DBx it got a slot and a diet IIRC

while its still a lemon i doubt it will become "useful" considering all the other ships around it, i.e. its competition.

The M ship market and that price bracket is flooded with options.

While I obviously agree with you and find that the disproportion between combat ships and all other kind of ships is reaching beyond absurd levels, I think disrupting the livestream is rather uncool, the guys presenting will be doing their job after all.

What puzzles me the most, is that station traffic reports show beyond all doubt that the Krait was by far the most popular ship of the year (and even excluding this year, most popular ships in the traffic reports are by quite a margin multi-role ships) yet FD keeps this fixation with churning out combat ships after combat ships. Maybe the people who do fly those ships buy more paintjobs or something.

I don't think he's talking about disrupting the livestream and is instead talking about how people might get mad/angry in the livestream chat and in the comment section after the livestream is over.

There are no 7 combat ships. Most of them can be used for exploration.

I don't get what I want every single day. I don't go on complaining about it all day long.

I understand desire for some new transport/passenger/exploration ship, but to be fair, we have good selection and for me other things just takes higher priority than new ships.
