News Beyond - Chapter Four - Beta Update (Week 2)

I'm using an X52 Pro and had the tuner in the FSS mapped to my throttle. Not sure what you mean by "tuner works back to front" though. When I throttled up, the tuner moved to the right, and throttling down moved it to the left as I would expect. I'm guessing you wanted it the other way around?

But I've now changed to using the 4-way D-Pad under my index finger on the throttle to tune because the analogue input would cause a drift in the tuning unless it was perfectly centered. The digital buttons seem far easier to control (although the analog input was faster).

What I'd really like, and which has been suggested my others, is a 1:1 mapping of an analog input to the tuner. So throttle at maximum would map to FSS tuner at far right and throttle at minimum would be FSS tuner at far left. Of course this should reversible for those who prefer that.

Haven't tried the throttle yet but when mapped to the twist on the joystick I would twist left and the tuner would go right, the same using the roll axis.

Just twist the stick in the opposite direction when you set that axis to the tuner axis if there's no "regular/inverted" toggle associated (I can't recall and the servers are down ATM so I can't check)

I (eventually) worked this out. It takes the direction from the way you twist the joystick when you're setting up the keybindings: twist to the right and it's "regular"; twist to the left and it's "inverted".

I think all the other controls work the same way, but you can uninvert them later from the Options menu.

Commanders, the downtime of the beta server has been extended while we update it with the Beyond - Chapter Four Mining and Squadrons changes. As soon as the server is available, we'll let you know!

When I first mapped it the twist functioned properly, I can't recall which way I twisted to map it originally, but I am wondering if some other control setting for the twist is mapped inverted and it's taking its cue from that?

Much faster (smaller I guess) as the last one. Does it mean it's filled with a lot less bugs? :p

Actually what I expect happened is the original patch included everything but some features were disabled, and this one just included bug fixes and the activation of the features they wanted for this part of the beta, so yes less bugs because they have already fixed some.

The squadrons are a fine thing and FD has given us a great tool to manage our efforts outside of Inara.

Nevertheless I hope, there will be improvements to the section of the affiliated faction. By now, it is an unsorted list of systems. It would be great if one could sort the list in alphabetical order, by influence, by states, by economy, by security and by happiness.
Besides it would be great to have a direct link to the system view in this list. In Powerplay there is at least a link to the galaxy map, but a direct link to the system would be fantastic.
