Hardware & Technical Google Chrome is now in version (stable) 64 bits for Windows

Finally I do not recommend the installation of this 64 bit version. I tried to install it on another hard disk and I got the message "APPCRASH".

I'm using Version 37.0.2062.94 beta-m and didn't even realise that it had updated.

Saying that, I've been using the Beta version for some while now.

Yes, that is part of the design. It is constantly updated to the current version without you knowing (although I am sure you can change that in the settings).

I don't really mind that much, it's a great browser.

Are you sure that you are in the 64-bit version ? Because for the stable version, there is no auto update of the 32-bit version toward the 64 bit version. For the 64 bit version is a special link

I'm currently under version 37.0.2062.94m, but it is the 32-bit version ---- The version 64 bit is : 37.0.2062.94-unknown-m (something like this)

ok, I am on the 32 bit version then. So have been misleading you all!

Too late to update now (plus have been on the whisky). So will let you know how that goes tomorrow.

To distinguish between the 32-bit and 64-bit, go to the "Task Manager". In the "Processes" tab, it is marked GoogleChrome32.exe or GoogleChrome.exe (no numbers for the 64-bit based on what I read on the internet)

But for me, Google Chrome 64-bit, stable version generates a start "APPCRASH" error message. Warning Withnail before installing the 64-bit. Perhaps do a test on another disk ?

Here is the number for the stable version in 64 bits. In the browser under the "About Google Chrome" (in English of course). But for the moment for me it does not work --- Version 37.0.2062.94 unknown-m

I have updated Chrome to this version:

Version 38.0.2125.24 beta-m (64-bit) - it seems to be a later version than yours.

It seems to be working fine for me. I am using it to post this message.

The browser seems to you, much faster than the 32-bit version ? They talk about 25% faster ...
