Can't connect to adjudication server

This seriously cannot get any worse. Second day and today is even worse than yesterday. This must be the worse server contract ever. Worse, worse, worse. Yesterday it was "never play on patch day", so today? Never play the first 2 days? Jesus Christ.

I didn't study math, but I suspect you'll find 'not being able to play for three days' even worse than your 'I cant play for two evenings, this cant get any worse'. Dont know for sure though.

The official comment was that there are issues...

I think that the servers are having issues, the matchmakers are sulking and the judges in the adjudication server have gone home.

Was in for quite a bit this morning without issues. Then I went to take a shower. Came back, couldn't log in. I don't get the adjudication server error. I just have grayed out "Login" and "Friends" menu choices, and the text "state=WaitingForConnection" at the bottom.

And here we are back at the main menu, unable to connect again - quickly turning into "still." This was terribly executed on just about all fronts. First they include a race for planet scans that happens the second the update drops, and then they fail to secure the system "first discovered" player, so that creates another race and reinforces the server strain - all at the same time. Very, very clever...

This is not going far toward improving my impression of Frontier.

After ~30 minutes of retrying I was lucky enough to get logged into the game. I was logged out during SC so I started in normal space. An attempt to SC again ended in logout :/

The net code does seem to have achieved the worst of all worlds; the bits that need centralised servers, isn't working; and I suspect, (although I can't, obviously, be entirely sure) that the P2P part is still a bit bobbins too.

This is not true. The 'servers' are built and maintained by Google..with unlimited capacity to open and close servers for Fdev, on the fly. The current issues would appear to be related to the new server code itself...rather than the number of servers available.

But server are running in the Amazon Cloud.... otherwise I think your assessment of the issue is correct.

All of those darn employed people coming home from work and overloading my server.

So true. I done ok from 9am until 7pm and then it crashed. However, never got on at all yesterday.

I guess I'll leave it until tomorrow when everyone's back to work (including the Mrs) and I can enjoy my retirement in peace.
