Exploration data lost?

I've been in Deep Space for several weeks and I've just came back to sell the exploration data but I only had the bodies that I've discovered after the lastest update, all previous discoveries do not apear in the sell page, do you know anything about this guys?
Thanks

I have been exploring since October 10th so when I arrived yesterday to Universal Cartographics and there was only one page of discoveries I could not believe it uh

I wish I had known about this, then I would have came back before the update to claim the exploration data

No one else has experienced this?

Thanks

I've not heard anyone else with that problem, but then, they may well just have not got back yet. (And I know a lot of people were pre-emptively rushing back to sell before the update just in case this did happen)

I would recommend opening a support ticket and not selling the new data either until you hear that's safe to do. Hopefully it's something they can easily fix.

If you are in this situation then you need to raise a support ticket.

On several occasions Frontier explicitly stated that there was no need for commanders that were in the deep to return to the bubble before the update. I think it is entirely reasonable to presume that this includes meaning that adiscoveries you have already made do not need to be redeemed before the update.

Whilst they may not be able to recover your data - support is usually pretty good about providing recompense for their genuine mistakes.

hope that helps.

I think it was mentioned as an alert by FD on this forum that this exact thing would happen at the update.

Sorry :(

This forum is a must?

This kind of changes should be warned in-game or at the launch menu. Many players doesn't bother the forums.

I was in time to get back if I knew.
One month of gameplay lost is not very enciting to play again.

A friend of mine is currently in Saggitarius A* and he has lost 28.000 ly, and he doesn't speak english good enough to visit these forums.

Oh well our fault then. Many thanks all for the info.

I don't remember hearing or reading anything that would indicate this to be the case (and i follow the game pretty closely... especially lately)

As others have said, open a ticket with support. Hopefully they can help you.

Only mission wipe was announced.

[h=2]Mission Progress Wipe at 3.3 Launch[/h]
Greetings Commanders,

Similarly to previous updates, we want to let you know that all mission progress will be lost when the galaxy servers go down at the launch of 3.3. This is pertinent to those completing long-range passenger and the Ram Tah missions.

Thanks again,

Ed

Sorry you guys had to find this the hard way. Support should make it right.

Wow, I'm glad my alt account waited in dock before heading out (and I had no idea about this).

This thread scares me. I've been exploring for weeks 50k LY away from the bubble when the update dropped. Never been that far and that long away from home. If all my splendid discoveries would be null&void (I don't really care about the financial aspect)... oh boy [where is it]

That's a hard popsicle to suck.

Nope, I just did a 3-month jaunt hitting approx. 3.4K/3.5K systems, got back Sunday (9/12/18) and checked the value (859m Cr!) but didn't sell… spent Monday smashing out 10K LYR Powerplay merits, then parked up to wait for the update. Once Thursday rolled in I hit Lvl5 PP rating and flogged the lot, netted 2.6 billion Cr, which is the 859m x 300% for the Lvl5 rating so no, no data loss between Monday night and Thursday morning. Agree with prior posters, raise a ticket/flag it with Support.

I'm going to bring this up in a separate thread once I get a "Final Answer" on my support ticket. My player faction had been grinding for weeks to expand our faction to a nearby system we want to make our new home. The expansion had gone active on Dec. 7th and our influence numbers tanked as a result, as is normal. But then after the update on the 11th I saw a post by a community moderator mentioning all faction states would be reset to "none". So my PF lost 2 weeks of grinding doing brain numbing boring missions to raise our influence. Our current home system is 4.8B population so it's difficult to move the influence. Our influence has dropped back to the mid-50's and we only have 4-5 active members doing these missions so we're looking at weeks of grinding again.

I'm not doing that, I'm leaving the game and may even close my account despite having 4.4B credits and all engineers unlocked. Frontier seriously screwed many players with this update. Nowhere did I read about losing expansions that were in progress until after the update happened. I am way beyond angry about this and will probably boycott all Frontier products in the future. I'm also not happy that the week I spent getting my name as "first discovered by" on 11 Earth Like worlds is null and void.

This is very unusual. Explorers are returning all the time and I'd expect to have seen all sorts of similar complaints if this was a common occurrence.

At the risk of sounding like I'm signing granny up for egg sucking lessons, I have to ask: Were the several weeks that you spent in deep space in the main game? It seems like an obvious gotcha, but if much of that time was spent on the beta servers then none of that progress will carry over into live. That's by design. Beta launched on October 30th, 20 days into your trip.

Apologies if this is not the case, but it needs to be eliminated.

I also wonder if the OP is only seeing the first page of data and thinking that is all there is. If this is the case, OP, know that there will be many pages of data to sell, not just the first.

Here is the official thread posted 3/11/2018.
Note that it states "all mission progress" which pretty much covers everything. It did not specifically mention cartographic
data. It did mention long range passenger and Ram Tah missions. So leaving out cartographic data could be confusing.

Mission Progress Wipe at 3-3 Launch

Eight people can read a text message eight different ways. I found the more details in a text message the better the chance
all will understand the meaning. I'd recommend that Frontier list exactly what is effected the next time versus a short comment.
