Dinosaurs Run and Stop

Yes, yes, and YES!

I have all of these ideas in my head right now, and this problem is one of them. So, thanks a lot for making this suggestion.

This gleefully running to a food or water source that the dinosaurs do, and then coming to a skidding stop, is very unnatural.

An easy fix for this is to just change the running into a more hastened walk, something like 1.5X speed.

Related to this problem, is the general dinosaur movement. When dinosaurs are walking or running, they will come to a sudden stop, change direction, and then continue walking/running towards their target. Someone at Frontier needs to get on that ASAP.

It's a very noticeable issue, and seems that it would take just a little bit of work to correct. Why does the community need to ask for things such as this?

Thank you all for your answers.

I see that I am not the only one that this funny behavior bores.

I hope that a member of the staff will see the post and say "ok we will fix that"

let's cross our fingers dear friends.

I don't know about unrealistic. These animals weigh several tons after all. That being said, it would look better if they transitioned to walking at least some of the time.

I agree but they start running at a full sprint then suddenly stop not even a second later, the way the hadros over all run bores me looks like the spines breaking they have the chests raised so high up. but the big no no is the "Im going to run at a full sprint for two feet then dramatically stop" they never run to run unless they are panicing and thats when a ACU or ranger is in the area

Good evening.

Tell me, since it was my first topic, how do we know if a member of staff saw it? there is a way?

The whole purpose of the Ideas & Feature Requests Forum is for the developers to look at the input the community gives and what ideas are rated highest and receive the most replies and votes.
