Modes Can we secede Open Play data from other modes.

I'm not entirely sure how you think that relates to this.
All we're talking about here is how open should have it's own bgs and powerplay. My statement that creating more modes to further separate the player base would ruin the game still stands.

Of course, no one can prove it's going to "ruin the game" now, can they? People can already play in other modes currently, and have been since the game released. Having another mode to choose from doesn't change that.

Using fear tactics to instill doubt simply isn't going to cut it- there needs to be some sort of demonstrated proof, because last I checked everyone who plays in Open sings praises about how oh so full of other players it is and they simply don't need everyone else in the other modes. "Go play in PG/Solo" is quite frequently used as a comment.

Or are you saying that's not the case now?

Sorry, got too much going on here and in several threads - got my wires crossed on what topic is on what tab.

Frontier just updated their site so on the "fight" section it reads: "If you choose to fly in open play"
OP is way past wrong. The game has always been about players choosing who to play with.
I have a whole Wall of Information proving that. Quote after quote from Frontier saying they fully support the mode system.

You want to talk about logic, logic tells you not to bang your head up a brick wall - but you keep demanding changes to the mode system when Frontier said no.
Logic would state to play a game suited to your play style, yet you're here demanding Frontier drop everything to change this game to suit the minority.

You don't have a logical leg to stand on, when Star Citizen is the game you're looking for but all you do is complain about Elite: Dangerous.

Of course, No one can prove it'll ruin Elite.
But I can prove, it IS ruining PvP.

Since PvP at least needs and lives off of live oppositions, hence PvP ...

So you're saying there's no PvP in Open currently?

The PvP forum thread would like to have a word with you.

Gimped by modes.
Syleria, of course there is PvP in Open. Dwarfed by modes and ineffective.

And that of course, is your opinion, which you've a right to. Others may and often do disagree.

You see, all that hyperbole that people used to defend why PvP exists in Open is also detrimental to the "cause". When you tell others to "git gud or go play in Solo/PG's" they start listening.

Now what you have as a result, is wolves hunting wolves. Enjoy yourself. It's what you wanted, after all- isn't it?

No one here is demanding anything and I'm get really annoyed by the way that word is thrown around on this forum. Making suggestions on how you think the game could be better is not "demanding".

I rarely see thread on this forum of people demanding that Fdev make changes unless it's bug fixes which I kind of support anyways.

So seriously, quit throwing the word "demanding" around so loosely cause it just makes you sound like another over exaggerating keyboard warrior.

If only this were the case. But as the "majority of players play in open" then it is more likely that the sheep learn't to play smart and the wolves are not smart enough to figure that out.

I'm fed up with the over exaeration and hyperbole from PvP'ers, but...

Pvpers have mostly abandoned elite because Fdev treats us like second rate players.

Weird how there is a thriving PvP community for consensual PvP.
You and your friends are not the only PvP'ers in Elite, yet you behave as if only your opinion counts.

So how about you quit pretending you speak for every PvP'er ?

Well, I should have said "asymmetrical PvP" because we all know that's really what they want, but when we get to the bottom of these conversations it's quite apparent in their own descriptions.

"HAHA I taught that loser not to fly without shields! What a moron!" Blah, blah, blah... essentially the same old condescending garbage it always is. No, you merely projected your own views and style of play upon someone else as unsolicited "advice".

What I find highly amusing that now those "UBERPWN" warriors actually get to face one another they're complaining they don't have civilians to shoot at.

"OK guys, here we are all dressed up in our battle gear. What are we gonna do?"
"Go look for transport trucks to shoot at!"

Far from it.
Don't delude yourself Jockey.

Oh I'm not Dietger.

The people who think Frontier will bend to their will are the delusional ones, Frontier have always wanted and supported the Mode System from the very start.

Hope you've had a good holiday season by the way.

ROFL! Cool Jockey. You just keep showing your true colors homie.

Indeed. We all fly our own colors, don't we? You included.

What Jockey is saying is the same as everyone does... your opinion is yours. Others may have their own. Ain't it great we all have choices, and don't all live in Communist countries where everything is simply dictated to you as the "will of the people"?

Because, in actuality- that's what shoehorning other players is. It's the equivalent of telling other people they don't have rights or freedom.
