It's certainly something I've contemplated but instead I try and be a decent person and to minimise the negative impact I have on the planet. I'm keenly aware that my pathetic efforts are fighting a losing battle, but if I jumped off a bridge there are a handful of people who would be a bit distraught so I keep breathing, for now.

Here it is again. This strange need of gankers to justify themselves, to prove how they are really nice guys in real life, and totally normal.
This is something that pervades nearly all of these threads. Fascinating, how people who are constantly filling this forum with "get hard, bois"-comments simultaneously fear their gameplay could be seen as illegitimate and reflect on their real persona.
This is also what I meant when I described it as "whining" yesterday. It's not always whining, but the impression that you guys are the most thin-skinned players in this community, despite your actions.

I grip life with a fierce intensity, and while I know that it isn't perfect, it is what it is. Too many more opportunities to make love to my wife, play with my children, drink a good glass of wine and fly my spaceship (blowing up explorers) to contemplate hitting that self destruct button. Lighten up, man, and take a leaf out of my book; leave all the depressed hand-wringing and guilt ridden bull for someone else and just enjoy your life. It's ok to take pleasure in your own existence without cluttering it up with progressive society's collective guilt trips designed for the sole purpose of making people like yourself feel crappy.

while i was searching the station. some idiot just got me.
Well. i was informed there could be griefers but found it hart to believe "some idiot would go all 6000 lightyears in a non exploration ship just to kill unarmed civilians."
Well i misjudged humanities stupidity yet again.
This is supposed to be a community event. but we cannot get in the official safe servers.
Fleetcom is full Mobius is full all of them is full.
and thanks to these idiots we have to play solo... so much for community event.
Where is the Fighter Escorts? Why bring in 500 ships if you cannot handle a few fools?
What are we supposed to do? Play solo? Then we shouldnt joined the effort in the first place.
