Why would I care about the respect of a forumdad lmao

I will play the game exactly how I want to play the game and you should do the same. If you want to come into open, prepare your ship or your forum salt post for after you get killed. If you want to play solo/PG, I truly hope you enjoy your time in game. Please don't force your gameplay preferences or choices onto other people.

Well, for a start, having respect for someone else is a pretty important trait for a decent human being if one wants to interact in a decent manner. But if you don't want it from people like myself, fine. Makes no difference to me.

But along with that goes any sympathy I might have for your concerns, if any, about how Frontier approaches PvP. Like most people, I tend to have more sympathy for those I respect.....funny that. Not that you'd care it seems.......

Lets make Open great again for everyone especially PVE players.

How?

Bring in the PVP flag on/off.

Why?

Lets make Open great again for everyone especially PVE players...

Maybe because those explorers didn't deliberately set out on a coordinated effort to disrupt the gameplay of a bunch of PvPers?

1) As if...

:D

2) That's still subjective, which leads us to...

3) Some people rather enjoy it.
I suggest your personal qualms are simply that.

They sure did! A coordinated effort to run away from the PvP death squad in the bubble. Now what are the PvP death squad going to do with the majority of their prey leaving on some wild goose chase expedition? Follow the prey of course!

I knew someone was going to suggest that....I just knew it.... ;)

Normal PvP is broken right now by the mass lock bug so there's not a ton of that happening right now.

To be fair, it should be fixed but to claim that it has broken PvP is outright ludicrous.

That's not "as it stands".

Oh yes it is. Currently a PVE player PVP flags off by going solo. Where as all they need to do is come open, enable/disable their PVP flag as per the "as it stands" preference and then enjoy the thrills and exciting of interacting with other CMDRs, while still PVEing or PVPing.

Open, a place for all CMDRs.

That sure is a lot of twisting to have a statement try and conform to your narrative, isn't it?

High-waking is considered distasteful if you're a PvPer, but not if you're a PvEer. Different standards applied to people of different skill levels. As a PvPer, you win, die, or low wake. Those are the options. The groups that high-wake out of fights are generally the worst of the worst (13th, BBfA, the rest of the "lawful" players) because they don't actually have the skill to get a successful low wake off without dying.

To answer your other question from an earlier post, the low wake bug isn't the entire reason everyone went out, but the straw that broke the camel's back. FDev's complete indifference to true PvP content has lead us to seek to create our own for a bit. Since normal PvP is entirely broken by the low wake bug and no one wants to watch the same 15000mj cutter low wake out, reboot shields, then immediately drop back in 5 times in a row, the opportunity was open for something like this, so we started planning.

EDIT: before you ask, Agony, you can high wake whenever you want to.

Well, I have seen many PvP videos and in most cases, the PvPer just leaves, that coincides with my personal experiences while I was a PvPer. In any case, I couldn't care less about PvP etiquette.

+1

Keep doing what you're doing guys. If this doesn't make FD realize that an official PVE mode is needed then nothing will.

For all they care, SDC could probably kill em all and it wouldn't matter a bit. In any case, DWE2 has already PG for the purpose you described, it's called Fleetcomm.

It's bad press at the very least. And no, I put the word official there on purpose.

My opinion is that ganks are just going to happen sometimes no matter what. I wish they'd fix MLF, but I don't feel it's causing DG2.

But I fully agree there is no "meaningful" outlets for directed PvP usage, aside from leagues or just linking up with friends, rival wings, etc. Self directed stuff that can get old or feel contrived.

When I first started as a total seal, I thought I would be able to use PvP in powerplay. I wanted to be a goody-two-shoes combat pilot protecting fellow pledged haulers. Boy was I naive, that idea is preposterous to anyone who knows even the basic realities of how PP works.

Well how about a player group, staking out a claim and battling rival player groups? Well (with some rare exceptions) most typically work in PG/solo, so no place for me there really, especially in console scrub galaxy.

Piracy is the most feasible PvP roleplay, but often mistaken for gankers and very few in game tools to find targets that are not seals. One can spend hours finding a single encounter on console, just to have them log out when you comms them. Disheartening, especially when you are then told nasty things on forums by people who think you're a ganker picking low hanging fruit. In reality it's the opposite, I spend a lot of time finding non seal targets and enjoy it most when the opponent turns out to have a reasonable build and has some clue how to fly.

So anyway that's when I found the overlord. Z0.
