[Forum] Notification when quoted

Hi there Fellow community members,

On some other forums which I use they have a neat feature that gives me either a popup or notification when a message of me is being quoted.
This is usefull to keep track on some conversations when you interact in many topics.

Your opinions about this?

Tbh this forum is rather bad

No quote notification
No upvote systems
No poll option

I hope this becomes better closer to release.

Also off topic I really hate the theme. I would prefer whit forum box.

"Upvote systems" (karma) aren't really necessary on forums. Posts are displayed chronologically and there's really no more effective way to do it. Content aggregators like reddit, tubmlr, etc. rely on karma systems as a means of boosting quality content and eradicating negative content, but it tends to create a bias towards the hivemind's general opinions. Forums give everyone an equal voice.

There's a lot of forum software floating around out there and most of them include polls, so I'd venture to guess they have it disabled.

Quote notifications are on my list to be added later on.

@dreammaster, it is planned for a thanks/like system. Polls via vbulletin will never be enabled.... when one person makes a poll, 5 others follow suit. Not something that'll be enabled for everyone.

I agree to this.. Karma systems are ment for 'reactions/comments' on for example newsitems.. Not for forums like these.

Great to hear that! The quote notifications is the only thing I'm really missing out on atm.

Keeping polls only to a specific usergroup is a good idea.. I've seen the 'polls everywhere' on to many places..
