Rename The Game

To Planet Scenery.

Because the scenery is great. The coaster aspect... not so much. Annoying limitations that have been complained about for ages, some of which are unrealistic in themselves (the new freefall coaster), smoothness issue hasn't been addressed, no brakes or ways to slow cars down or stop on either of the new dark rides, no preview for when editing the position of the Huntsman car. Not sure building the coasters/rides could be more unenjoyable at this point. But the scenery sure got a ton of attention and care, because it's awesome in every way.

Unfortunate, but the truth. Planet Scenery is the future!

Dont worry its all good, some day well get bigger expansions like RCT3 [up] just gotta be patient

Planet Carnival with midway gamestalls, circus entertainers, and funhouse/mazes (coming 2018)

Planet Lagoon with water parks, boat rides, restaurant/buffets, and other water features (coming 2019)

Planet Safari with stuff like Jurassic World (coming 2020)

Planet Resort with hotels, parking lots, stage shows, casinos, golf courses, and more (coming 2021)

Planet VR with interactive park elements like Disneys Kinect (coming 2022)

They all will be compatible with Planet Coaster, along with the workshop and blueprints, and each game has tons of DLC!

But the coasters will all be flawed. Cus screw the coasters, right?

now you're just complaining for no reason? whats wrong with the coasters? they are still adding improvements to them

they wont have to stop adding more rides to Planet Coaster, plus maybe well get a UGC/CSO and scenario editor someday!!

they just released the all new friction slider, and you know there is another update coming in november right? they leaked some new info about coaster improvements, and we will also be getting the ability to switch the trains on a track without rebuilding the whole track (yay!)

we all have issues we see with the game, I for one wish we had more entertainers and various color options for all staff, plus better tools for terrain

proof coasters are pretty good ^ but yes I do agree the DLC is not really that great

I'll believe it when I see it. If you're going to charge people for DLC, make sure the DLC is quality across all aspects. It's ironic that a game called Planet Coaster has so many flaws in the coaster department. The scenery like I said is fantastic. Like, REALLY awesome. But the new rides are missing key features that would make using them fun.

I just want them to at least talk about it and acknowledge this stuff. It seems like people have commented on the coaster restrictions since day 1 and we're now almost a year in and nothings been said on the subject. Then they release new coasters with even more new problems. I mean, the dark ride tracks would have been great, but no brakes? We can't see the car rotating on Huntsman? The ride becomes a more of a chore to use than fun. But all the scenery is so intricate, animated, detailed, etc. It's like they spent 80% of their time on the scenery and the last 20% on the rides. Can we get the same attention being spent on the scenery on the rides? Please? [cry]

Honestly, I think the rides are great. I'd rather see UI/QoL improvements, such as the ability to build a large wall using "click + drag" instead of a million clicks, the ability to build blank walls and then retexture them without rebuilding the entire thing, faster/easier terrain tools, also a scenario editor, UGC/CSO, and more... yea theres lots of things that need updating, but well just have to wait and see what happens in november :) as for the current DLCs, I am waiting to see what other stuff they have in store before I buy anything

People read too much into a game title. When it was RCT, either Roller Coaster or Tycoon was taken too seriously. Now this? It's just a clever game title, nothing to get all worked up about.

What? It wasn't a serious suggestion. Just pointing out the irony of this game in its current state. lol

I like the potential of the name "Planet" as a series, maybe someday they will bundle all the DLC together and call it...

Why would you call it

"Workshop Wonderland W/Andrew Chappel and the Summer update". [tongue][tongue][tongue]

Sounds more like a cheesyname for a band from the 80's.
