If it were renaming the coaster, would that mean, essentially, every coaster in your park has the same name?
I guess just renaming one will allow you to change whichever coaster you want.
As someone who has been wanting at the very least low friction, I have to agree w/ Bitter Jeweler. Come on...we're getting a friction slider--exactly what so many people wanted--and that's not enough...now we need a box in the options? I'm all for scrutinizing decisions and expecting open communication, but when you get exactly what you've been harping on and you still complain, you look bad. I'm sorry.
100% agrreing with this.
Is also sad that when is time to criticise people are fast and post a million things, but when something is done well, and perfectly capture the "Frontier is hearing us" we dont give the very deserved thank you as fast, and even then some people are still not happy.
Its completely undertandable why they made it a cheat
1. Ive already seen a lot of opinions of some casual players that dont even want to see that option becuase it would confuse them. It baffles me why would that happen, but its how they think and Frontier has to cater to them also.
2. They still are standing in their idea of the friction they have in the game is similar to the real stuff, as much as a lot of really well done recreations by the community do not get to the station. This means that they see this change in friction as a cheat to make impossible things, and not as an option.
While I would like to have it as an option under the same menu as scenery doesnt collide with rides, i dont mind having it as a cheat (that they even have worked out as permanent in each coaster), and I completely undertand why they decided it to be a cheat instead of an option.
So in summary, there is a time and place for contructive criticism, but I dont think this is the time and place.
+1 [happy]
Friction change is not something that needed to happen for me personally, but I know a bunch of you did so: much appreciate it, thank you Frontier.
I hope Frontier does not listen to some of you this time and it stays a cheat code because in the end that's what it is. (no matter if it can also be used to help make realistic coasters)
I'm pretty sure they thought it through already. [wink]
To those of you using the 'ease of use' reasoning, bear with me for a second and let me just say:
Maybe you should hook yourselves up to an infuse so you don't have to get up to get a drink, or - the horror - reach out to your glass and take it all the way to your mouth and back again. That way you can save yourselves some precious time since it was o so tedious to type in - what? - 10 letters? [rolleyes]
I am not a rude person; so I said this solely to get a point accross in an exaggerated manner.
Come on: a cheat code is easy to use!
Just be happy ya'll [happy]
