Coaster Editor/ Builder Suggestions Thread

Since we've seen the coaster editor a little bit in Dev Diary 2, I thought that I would make this thread so we could put suggestions in it. I saw one other thread like this, but nothing was specifically aimed around suggestions so I thought I would start this thread.
Here are my suggestions:
Different view points- This will come in handy when making a straight decline down. There could be options like on track, Left Right, top, and free form. Since the coaster editor is piece by piece but also uses a spline tool to change the pieces, this will make sure that we can have perfectly aligned tracks.
Longer Sections of track- in the dev diary, it didn't look like you could change the length of pieces of tracks. If we can change the track length, it will be easier to make smooth turns and slopes.

Edit: Sorry I accidentally put this thread in discussions instead of game ideas. Does any one know if there is a way to move it?

None of us know yet how the full Coaster/Editor/Builder works in PC, as nothing has been shown, about track/coaster building at all. Will it be similar to RCT3, with individual pieces, to set platforms of any length (within reason) The ability to raise platforms from ground level and maybe an option for curved platform segments. All we do know is that we will be getting a similar piece by piece building method, but with extra spline tools for adjustment.

As long as we don't have to start our coasters with a ready built station, like in RCTW, then I will be happy. I am not much for that idea at all, because it means than every coaster will be restricted to the same kind of station, except for a few different themed stations. I think we need the freedom to build your own stations in any style or length, like you could in RCT3.

I can not describe it better [up]

Aye one of the dev dairies showed some track building, it's piece by piece and from we can tell you can adjust those pieces as you build, IE soft nudges left right up down angled, so too me , what I seen looked like a perfect mix of the two. As far as length, I don't think that will be a do or die in this game version, I have no doubt the devs are sick of hearing the reference of the other game by now. Sure, same genre same dev company of an older title and one could go , well comon' they look almost the same! To be honest I get it, but I also get they are making something with no restrictions or having another company put their 2cents in like they know better.

I just feel that these guys get it, I really have no worries about much till we actually get our hands on it, then we can inquire a bit more, till then I just will wait at this point. Made my thoughts here on it, but that's why I really don't talk much in the forums atm, it's all guess work atm, or wishes, which for a company that has had said track record, I have faith what they will deliver (even in beta) will be amazing.

Yes I agree Guardious, Frontier have the experience in all aspects of the game and will deliver, there is no doubt about that. [yesnod]

Referring back to my initial question about station platforms. If it is only possible to start stations at ground level, we will not have the ability to decide how we would like are coasters to start.
In RCT3, I built quite a few coasters that had a raised station of maybe six to eight blocks high from ground level. This enabled to start off with a downward helix, so the track ran under the station, before starting the lift hill. If the ability to raise station platforms is not an option, like RCTW has adopted with there fixed stations, then building coasters that start like this will be impossible.

I would like the same options we had in RCT3, to be similar in Planet Coaster's track building tool. I think that this is going to be really missed in RCTW as well as no facility to build your own stations at any length or height from the ground.

What are other peoples views on this?

I also hope that we can build stations off the ground. It would be cool to build elevated stations where you can wait for the coaster under the station. Since Planet Coaster has an improved building/ structure builder, it would be really cool to build these type of stations.
Here is an example:
