More docking computers for god of docking computers!

While i see that these new autopilot options can help the new player, i also feel that they are crutches. They help the player get over the most pressing immediate problems, but they only will make them run into new issues soon afterwards.

They will make things easier, but i actually was hoping for more. In my eyes new players need much more. A context sensitive system, which can detect the player having problems and providing solutions would be awesome. (E.g. player aproaches a station for the first time or is still new and is outside of a station for more than 2 minutes without requesting docking permission -> guide the player on how to get docking permission. )

Explaining all of it here would break the scope of this thread, but luckily i don't have to. This video does it very well:

That all being said, i understand that player retention is a problem. It was ignored for much too long and immediate steps to help this are need. So these new modules, while being a crutch, also are a good start. I think that more refinement and a better player introduction still would be very much welcome in the future, though.

We want these new modules to help those who struggle with that area of the game.

Ideally, all players would be able to navigate Supercruise and Dock/Undock manually, but we have identified that some players struggle with this. The balance for this is that by using these assist modules, you will lose out on the optional internal slots they take up.
I can undock and navigate in super cruise just fine, but sometimes I want to read galnet or check the codex while flying. This is a missed opportunity for something that could be a great QOL improvement.

As one of those who enjoys getting a coffee while I dock, I' don't mind this change at all .. adding an undock feature makes sense to me. SC Assist is basically like auto-pilot... again makes sense for a ship in the future to have these.

I do worry tho, Will that these 2 features may make it easier for those who use bots.

And as much as you may get sick of me and others in the Powerplay Community saying this.. I again lament another update with no changes done for Powerplay.

I don't know how you dock but it take me only 30-60 seconds and that is still slow

I am very happy for the update because it supports the perception that the game is still actively developed and improved, thanks.

Question 1:
Question about the Beginner's Zone, what kind of trading will it support? If players do not have an incentive to leave such zone until they have an elite rank this means end of game for any pilot that already has an Elite rank.

Say, me.
I am a pirate, a trade that FDev has ignored since day 1. I reinstalled this game in January 2019 only because the Void Opal cash has attracted new pilots and I've delivered a lot of content and had massive fun interacting with players, something that did not happen in this game for a long time.

But now, does this Beginner Zone imply that all players will remain there, selling their goods and all in the safety of this cooconed 4th dimension zone where Elite players (players, not gankers!) cannot enter?
To me this sounds almost like game over, again. If new players have no reason to exit their new zone then I will have none to interact with, hence, uninstall, again.

Question 2:
Will the combat logging time out be extended from 15s to something more meaningful? At least give the time to send a hatch breaker and extract something.

I am tired of trying to create content to users that vanish into the 4th dimension after an interdiction. I have reported every single combat logger but no action appears to have been actively taken.

Question 3:
With all these automatic autopilot autoflyers (in a game meant to actually pilot space ships) does this mean that I will be interacting only with autopilots while their players are AFK watching netflix? Will there be any special action available to actively disengage an autopilot remotely?
