ANNOUNCEMENT April Update - Coming 23 April 2019

Will these bug fixes included mission rewards for influence and BGS fixes. I'm still seeing them at most systems around Sol

Forget the new modules, the DBX is suddenly getting a massive versatility buff. It already got one in 3.3 when they did away with the need to use a slot on a discovery scanner, and now the DSS can be shuffled down into a C1 slot, so between those two updates that's both of the C2 slots freed up!
The scout's not gonna be anything to sneeze at either, the biggest limitation of that ship was the paltry number of slots.

As for everything else, I can slap an interdictor on everything that doesn't have one.
Even the T9.
Especially the T9.

I also think that the docking computers and SC assistant should be integrated with the right panel // ship with the on/off switches like silent run, rotational correction etc.
It may actually prevent the "Die docking computer noob" attitudes :) and also the unbalances to small ships due to extra slots to be used for hrp/mrp

If the additional slots aren't locked for the purposes of utilities they will immediately get filled with HRPs, meaning that's an (approximate) extra 400hp and 28% resists for small ships, 200hp and 14% resists (approx) for mediums and large across the board.

I'm generally of the opinion that it's a good idea to add automation, however, quite apart from that is the constant issue of health/TTK bloat in your game which will just be exacerbated by this. Even if they're only size 1s.

IMHO you really, really need to rein in the modular system, particularly with regard to defences because both the discrepancy between stock and engineered ships and the constant hikes in TTK are fully out of hand.

Please consider introducing these new slots (and retroactively restricting existing ones) as "utilities only" or "CPU slots" or something or this bloat will never end.

Really nice to see some QoL improvements. Are there any plans to provide an additional save slot per account? Maybe as a paid feature? Perhaps the option for each pilot to have access to the fund for that account? As it is, I'm deep in the black, it's a shame to be unable to take part in other ventures without having to buy a completely separate account with no ability to link it in any way inside the game.

I mean the idea to try and protect new players from seal clubbing, but the idea of starter systems seems to have so many flaws: From grievers invading it and keeping current protectors like ardeles armada(or whatever they are called theses days) out of them over the breaking of lore to the whining from explorers, that they cannot look for probably non-existent juicy science and secrets within in them.
I and many others already suggested it in the past, but why not use security rating of systems more:
  • Decrease Response Time to mere 2-3 seconds in High-Sec Systems.
  • People with Bounty and or Notoriety get an Interdiction every half minute or so in high-sec space.
  • To make it more dynamic tie security rating to the security level of the controlling faction.
  • To avoid turning the current starting area into a slaughterhouse, lock its security rating at high and maybe add the power police to spawn in first and higher winning chance in interdiction against notoritous targets.
  • All of this is just adjusting numbers really.

Why use the phrase 'get go'. Such a stupid phrase. In English 'get' means you do not yet have it. If you're using 'get go' to mean 'start' then 'got stop' must mean 'end'?

Because English is stupid language that makes no sense. I've heard English described as three languages in a trench coat beating up other languages in an dark corners for spare syntax.

"from the get go" is just slang meaning from the start/beginning. Its first recorded usage is in the 1960s, I'm guessing drugs were involved.

So many people crying about a docking computer and an autopilot, things we have in 2019 in our cars. Why do you care how other people fly?

Yep, I have no intention of using either personally, and I don’t care how anyone else wishes to, I but I am delighted that I will be getting a couple of extra slots to use :) :)

So I get to enjoy flying a spaceship the way I like it, and people who don’t get to have it done for them; choice is good :)

More in the update than I was expecting. Glad to see that FDev coding is now so slick no betas are required ;)

Disappointed that the macOS version hasn't returned .....

I'm a little concerned about the safe zone for new players.
Flying in a zone where the worst PK you'll find is someone of your own rank may set an unrealistic expectation once new players leave the safe zone.

I'm okay with the safe zone (I'm new myself), I just don't want it to be a splash of cold water once a new player meets an engineered [insert name of bad new ship here] the first time they fly in open for real.
