Does anyone happen to know where you can find old screenshots of Elite Plus?
I think that is the version I played back in the day (early 90's, on a Atari 1040ST). I remember that I grinded and grinded thru pirates on my way to Elite status, blazing away with my military laser at anything that popped up hostile as soon as I could see the grey dot (good times!) and when I apparently made enough kills, I docked at the next station and it popped up a congrats screen.
Unfortunately I only saw a split second of it because I hit a key or something and could never get it to go back. I remember it was a picture of a pilot with his helmet on, visor down, holding up the gold elite badge, but that's it.
I was, like 12ish back then, I am sure there are parts of that game I never did, I remember never being able to figure out where to go on a mission cause I could never find a mission review screen, just flew around trading and blowing up pirates.
Killed lots of Thargoids in those circus tent like spaceships with those military lasers, always a good time.
