Typos suck

So, I have never been to Jameson's crashed Cobra and finally decided to check it out. Did some research and plotted my course to HIP 12009. Get there and cannot find planet 1B. So, I take the second planet anyway (a nice 3+G one, of course) and fly to the spot and nothing to be found. Thought maybe there was a bug or duplicate system, only to realize the typo: should be HIP 12099 not 12009.

They say that it is not reaching your destination, that matters. But the pleasure of the journey itself.

OK: I'll get my lead.

I once used there instead of their in the 3rd grade and got an A instead of an A+ on the paper. Prety sure that was my last typo.

HIP 12009 is an interesting system...800LYS outside the bubble

Numbers are so confusing. They should be banned.
Or we should use bases with less numbers to make it less confusing. HIP 10111101000011 looks much better. Not much room for an error.

Police forces (apparently around the world) encourage people to download an app on their phone that identifies their precise location with just 3 words. In the US recently, somebody's life was saved when she was trapped inside her car in a remote location and could not describe where she was. They told her to download the app and state what three words were describing her location.

Apparently, we humans are bad at numbers.

The great thing about that app is that it has a much smaller error than GPS.
