And your CMDR's heavy mouthbreathing.Yeah...
No sound in space. But what the heck. Imagine if it was totally quiet in the cocpit except for the sounds of the air conditioning system.
Would that be any better?
Look up Cussing geckos video and you be shocked. I use to have Tokay gecko as pets. Like the one in the Avatar and I had Family or Friends say something wrong with your computer or TV. I tell them to go see what caused it. They come back with a dumbfounded look because computer TV was off. Wait for a few hours or a few days so they had that confused look and bring up the video on my tablet and ask was that the sound you heard?I heard something a minute ago that sounded like a Bullfrog burped.
One might say that you are immersed in pirates.Yes, and of course there was a wing of 305883202948590 pirates. That's got to be the most immersive, realistic aspect, just amazing
and half a rock, which they appear to want to fight over. One might say that you are immersed in pirates.
Idk man, hearing the exact sound I distinctly remember hearing as a kid in the 70's riding in a pos buick skylark with crumbling liner, so air whistles thru aint quite the "ambient sound" i'd be hoping to hear in a space ship...i'd far prefer silence to something stupidly, utterly unrealistic...and actually probably quite fatalThere's a volume slider at your disposal. You can fix a problem of sound in space very quickly
I like ambient sounds in ED. Imagine how incredibly dull and boring it would be if you were in near silence all the time.
What you are describing is pretty stupidly utterly unrealistic. What's the problem then?Idk man, hearing the exact sound I distinctly remember hearing as a kid in the 70's riding in a pos buick skylark with crumbling liner, so air whistles thru aint quite the "ambient sound" i'd be hoping to hear in a space ship...i'd far prefer silence to something stupidly, utterly unrealistic...and actually probably quite fatal

I mean, those sounds feel like they are actually produced by your ship.
You're not hearing wind, that's just your noisy FSD. It's warping space around your ship to allow FTL travel, who knows what it does to your senses.Clearly the issue i have is the sound of wind or air rushing past a poorly sealed car windshield, door jam, or door window...being heard in a space ship, traversing the vacuum of space. I thought that was obvious, but who knows.
I struggle believing that sounds that appear to depend on air being heard in this manner...ie, supercruise and hyperjumps. Makes no possible sense to me...from an immersive, realistic sense. From a kinda "durrrr, which way did he go, which way did he go" sense, sure, have at it, but I've never took this game to be "that" kinda game.
