You can make money and not progress by doing nothing but courier missions, however at 20-25k a pop that's a long haul.

You just know there is a ganker who is grinding those courier missions to get a FdL just so they can gank away in complete safety.

Of course, assuming the stations sell anything that big.

Probably you haven't looked carefully what i posted.I only want to visit the starter systems in S O LO not in open play! I've been playing elite since the first day of release and the only time that i played open was when they offered a graphics card contest! (No offense taken)

Visit in solo. Switch to open once in system. Pew pew.

If a fail safe is added and when i try to switch open i immediately got transferred out of New players zone it would be cool

I'd still rather have a function to switch off PvP in some way

Like some kind of mode switch? I think I've seen one of those somewhere...

I think it's a bit unfair that us (experience pilots) are unable to visit starter systems like dromi etc etc ....
I must admit that it's a wonderful addition to new players and i am glad that FD did this because i am very interested in the future of this game and this a good way to attract new players.
But i want to have the ability to visit those systems , not because i want to gank defenseless new players but because i like exploring and trading or sightseeing.So please FD allow us to visit the starter systems while in solo only for the experienced players

Yamiks was in the starter system on his stream this evening to see how long it would take him to get booted out. Four noob kills later he got booted.
I thought it was a bit of a **** move considering it was only to increase his Youtube views.

You're missing nothing. The missions would be dismissed as rubbish by any experienced player, and for good reason... They're meant to bring newbies in gradually.

The only reason OP wants to visit these systems is because he's been told he can't.

He'll have a fit when he finds out about the systems in the game that nobody can reach...
