MMO progression

My eyes have been opened.

Been making some serious strides in making my toon more powerful in ESO, to the point I can pretty much clear all veteran content now.

Yet, the lust for even more power is there. I now understand the appeal of MMORPGs. Chasing the gear, gaining the power, not to mention all the other activities... I love it.

I solo'd my first dungeon today. I feel pretty good about it. Killed every boss. Became a vampire purely for the stats. Yes I'm that kind of MMO gamer. And it is so fun.

Don't keep all eggs in one basket. ;)
I think you should start playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey as your side-chick. No server downtimes and the game is pretty awesome. :)
That would be an idea, but classic TES games also work offline.

And it won't surprise you to hear that right now, I just cannot get enough of Elder Scrolls.

What about a TES-like gameplay in ancient Greece. Tons of loot and small quests, gigantic open world, ships, tombs, fortresses and cities, forests and mountains, interesting people to talk with and mythical monsters to slay?
Doesn't it sound A LOT like TES?

Plus you should know that too many scrolls at a time is bad for your eyes. :p

I think why I can't get enough of TES is that I'm in love with the specific universe. The fact that it's completely bonkers at times, is what hooks me.

Not saying ACO is bad, in fact I agree it's one of the best games in recent years.

But I'm a very specific guy who also is getting more and more involved with the lore side of TES.

TES isn't just a game for me. It's up there with Tolkien lore for me.

My problem with them is I can't help exploiting the mechanics in a way I struggle to be able to do with other games.

Running around Skyrim with a set of imperial armour that has hit the armour cap and has 96% resistance to frost, fire and shock damage, as well as 85% immunity to disease and poison (and can breathe underwater) while wielding a one handed imperial sword that can one hit an endgame dragon makes the game a little too easy :D

Mods. Simple as that. Re-balances, overhauls, bug fixes. We're on PC and the community is what makes Elder Scrolls games great.

ESO conversely doesn't really have quite the issue, as player balance is kept in check, because well, MMO.
