AEGIS Core faction sighted at Sol

Didn’t @Jmanis or someone UA Bomb an AEGIS CG?
Nope, not me :) Canon with my group's faction and it's interests, the development of weaponry by entities such as AEGIS, Ram Tah and the like is something we endorse, although we'd prefer to take ownership of it. Disrupting such efforts would be counterproductive to that.

The only notable UA bombing I ever had a hand in was Jacques... although the intent wasn't to cause a misjump for Jacques, rather (with a bit of RP hat on) we wanted to ship a bunch of UA's to the other side of the galaxy to see if they still behaved the same way (Pointing to Merope, morse for nearest ship etc).

GARD is pledged to defend Earth first and foremost. We also support AEGIS in their research and development of strategies, weapons and resources to fight and defeat the Thargoid threat.

While we have little loyalty to the Federal President or his cabinet, know this...

Messing with Aegis in Sol will be viewed as treachery to humanity. Tread carefully, this isn't the middle of nowhere any more, you have been warned.

not even want to go to Sol. Federation destroyed Earth once, that is no home for humanity.

Not going to lie guys, but Sol is a sh*tty system with nothing except ranking missions, and tourist photograph opportunities.

5 democratic factions, so never any war.
Always in boom, giving rich mission boards.
Saturn.
The canyons of Ariel
Titan and all its mystery
Earth
An engineer that can apply FSD specials and is the premier FSD Interdictor engineer
And now a 6th non democratic faction.

Sol is one of the best systems on a gameplay level, and I still go there regularly, aegis being there will cause me to be there a lot more now, so, bonus feature, you might come across me or another legendary GARD pilot. ;)

Tourist photograph opportunities:
"Saturn.
The canyons of Ariel
Titan and all its mystery
Earth"

Ranking missions:
"5 democratic factions, so never any war.
Always in boom, giving rich mission boards."
And no war is bad, war is good for the wallet and combat rank

Engineer that is inferior to Tiana Fortune
Garbage outfitting
Only the missions are good about the system

It's weird though that Aegis listed as a Faction there is at 0.1%. Technically, no Faction should be able to drop below 1.0% (?)

EAGIS aka INRA, just saying.

Some food for thought, that's all.
For the record, I think that's at best a conspiracy theory, and at worst, nefariously motivated propaganda. But let's assume for a second that your statement has merit...

Does that mean we just roll over and let the Thargoids do what they like?

Saturn is not just a photo op, it's awesome.
The canyons of Ariel a photo op? ROFL
Titan is hardly a photo op, it doesn't look all that special, it's a MYSTERY to be wondered about.
Earth, well, ok it's just a photo op, but it's still the birthplace of mankind, there is only one out of three TRILLION bodies.

What you say about ranking missions is totally irrelevant. I am already King and Admiral, why would I still go there if it was just for rank up? It has RICH MISSIONS, period. Nothing to do with ranking. When I want to make Biotech conductors, MEF, EFCs, I toss a coin between Sneider Enterprise (TZ Arietis) and Galileo (the Moon, Sol), because I know I'll find a mission I WANT to do that rewards what I want. When I just want to do some federal dirty work I'll go see if the President needs any Independents killed. ;)

Tiana Fortune cannot apply special effects to FSDs (avoiding a long trip to either Farseer or Martuuk, if you are in the core systems), nor engineer G5 FSD interdictors? You've confused me here, because even if she was superior, which she isn't, I've never visited her except to rank her up for completeness, and moreover, she's not in Sol...we're talking about useful stuff 'in Sol'.

Outfitting is irrelevant, the core Fed systems have the highest concentration of High Tech systems of any other area of the bubble to my knowledge, plus it's only 70ly to Shinny, something most ships can do without a scoop.

You can keep going if you like, but your initial statement that Sol is a crap system is patently, demonstrably, incorrect. It's a fully hand-crafted system as well as if that doesn't raise it above others alone! At least let me show you what you're missing thinking Ariel is just a photo op...If there was nothing else in Sol, I'd still go to Ariel for this...

All things being equal, of course not. But if AEGIS has ulterior motives in the fight against the Thargoids have you considered what you might be enabling?
