Station menus, I really don't like this

People were still defending Bethesda for years claiming they had nothing to do with the decisions to cram cynical cash grabs into their games. At some point it just needs to be accepted that businesses are not ethical and are not your friend. There's no sinister conspiracy by the Chinese afoot here. Just Frontier doing what businesses do.
There's a difference between cramming it down and easing it in. I almost posted a picture, but was too disgusted. Foie gras anyone?

If i think about it a little more i have to say:

I don´t own a single game i payed a 100€ for (Yes i am a beta-backer that payed 60€ for the basegame & preordered Horizons)
that now, starts bothering me in every menue to give them more money.. even tho´ i supported them with buying ship/weaponcolors, that are now, more or less free.

YES, i could say that there are at least not Star Citizen´esque 27k$ realmoney-prices for owning ships ..but i do not want to compare one greed with another.. i want a clean designed game that sticks to it´s orignal vision.
I am okay with buying ARX from the livery/or main-menue, but not ingame on a station as a colorsheme-breaking BUTTON

I don't like the blue store button on the station menu either but I put up with it.

For some of those those posting their discomfort here, it must not annoy you that much, as some of you have changed your forum avatar to a picture of that lovely blue store button and now I have to put up with it on this forum as well.

o7....

Since it is at least strongly suspected that a few FD employees, even if they may not actually play the game, occasionally visit that forum, call it a subtle form of protest. And then imagine that the thread starters of the first 20 threads or so in the list on the main DD page all had blue (or the animated blue/orange) avatars.

As for me (guilty of it, too) - yes it annoys me, but not as much as the issue in my .sig. I may be able to live with either of it, but, small as these intrusions are, they do distract from the immersion, especially if you play in VR. And they accumulate. First, it was only the jump destination display that referred to some joystick buttons (how should I know which button on which stick is JOY-4 ?) when you jumped into an Anarchy, which happens all the time outside the bubble. Now we get the store button, and the Safe Disengage message disappears behind the instructions about which button to press.

Thanks for communicating with us, Will .......... could you please draw attention to the blue store icon with FD which is universally (just about) hated !
We've passed that feedback on to the relevant teams, rest assured!

Rejoice! Our feedback as been passed to the relevant teams! Hopefully, they’ll take action... oh, wait. This is Frontier we’re talking about. ;)

I am confident it will be changed. I hope so as I want to be able to end my strike and buy a livery for my Krait II ("Alfred").
I hope so too. I'm already sick of composing posts like this. :D

It's also been nearly a year since I've
bought any cosmetics. With the paint packs now split apart, I don't have to pay for six in order to get the one I want, so I'm planning on getting them all painted in Stevenson Whirlwind Adventures blue.

It breaks my immersions.

I know folk might think it's trivial, especially given the bugs, but please don't put STORE on in game menus. Put it behind Livery/Holome/Outfitting etc where it belongs.

Editing other places where it could/should be, just for GreyAreaUK :p
Not been near a station in ages so hadn't seen this, I totally agree that it is in the wrong place and is the wrong colour.

As nothing you can buy in the store is anything other than cosmetic I would say it should be in the Holo-Me and Livery sections no point in its being in Outfitting.

Errr, wait a minute.

I have just been to the store web-site and I can't buy anything Elite Dangerous game related. So does this mean, I have to spend 10 minutes logging into my game laptop and then go to the store, via that stupid blue tab, in the station menu; if I just want to browes the store?

Nope- you can also get to the store via the 'Extras' tab on the splash screen of the game. YW

So only via the game, itself?

Great, The laptop I play E.D. on, only has two programs on it. Elite and a program to record it, nothing else. No junk, kept clean to enjoy my game play. I am not impressed with this idea, at all. In your face, as it is in the game is bad enough; but to only able to enter the store, this way. Is going to cast F.D. a lot of sales. When I want to play the game, I'll log in to do so. When I want to go to the store and buy stuff, for this game. I should be able to, as I have always done so.

I realy dislike this avatar too but I hope Fdev gets just as annoyed and take it down from the station menu.
