This is what I got for 2.5 hours of mining

I used to play a game where I know a few people spent over ten grand (real-world money) on in-game currency. Thing is, it depends on 1) how much money you have to start with and 2) what else you have to spend it on. If you're on £250k a year and have relatively few hobbies, spending ten grand on a game probably isn't going to mean your kids are missing meals or your missus is dressed in rags, at which point it's a value judgement for the individual based on how much enjoyment they get from what they spend.

I mean I wouldn't do it myself but then I'm not in the position that I described above.

For me, all the money spent on digital content is wasted money, that's how I see it. It is clear that everyone spends what they want ,
I could even say that it benefits me that others spend more than me, but honestly, it saddens me too much.

What type of ring can one mine to find Arx? How many Arx are in an asteroid with a core?

Seriously, for 2.5 hours mining you should also have gotten some minerals to sell eh? Maybe focus on the game and not the nonsense Arx.

The entitlement from OP is staggering

The entire game is digital content....

the reason why I bought elite is because you still can't hack ... I hope my position has become clearer.

that you like an ingenious response in the forums ... almost as tired as those you complain about who complain

1 question, in which f+++g have some players spent up to 400 euros?

"Up to"?

I'm not going to add it all up, but there's the Rift, the matching GPU and since last week a couple of nice Virpil sticks for which I still have to build some holders. I might have bought that for anyother game - maybe, but the number of interesting and playable (I get VR sickness already when driving my SRV) VR games is low.

After 2.5 hours of mining and selling the minerals. Frontier, this is not "free ARX". This is an insult.

I don't feel rewarded for playing. I feel mocked.

I understand the need for funds for continuous development, as I have spent a considerable amount of money on the game in the past 4+ years. But this system is not an incentive to play. It's essentially mocking players when they exit their session. If you really think 2-3 hours of daily gameplay is worth this much then you simply don't understand how these systems should work. 400 ARX per week is low enough as it is, clearly not breaking your bank. At least let us reach it with normal, active gameplay. Make it an incentive, an encouragement to play. Or remove this insulting system completely.

When I give a gift to someone, I want it to be meaningful, regardless of financial value. But I wouldn't give a box of toothpicks as a gift. The current system feels exactly like that.

Wait, were you mining for ARX or mining for things to sell for in game money?

If you where mining for in game things to sell for money then please elaborate on you actually got for 2.5 hours of mining, as it can run into the hundreds of millions.

If you where mining for ARX then you have failed to understand the concept and are complaining about not being given enough free stuff even though you got nothing at all before.

Which means you're being laughably entitled and petulant.

that's fine, I meant game cosmetics that aren't too flashy to spend that money on

All of that are goods you're able to resell, tho.

And if you still feel insulted by the free arx, please tell FDev that you dont need the free arx and you want to donate it to charity

I volunteer as a subject of your charity

OMFG,do you think that is a healthy practice ?I think that is a big problem man.I put 20 euros literally a week ago, and nothing has piqued my interest to spend them .

people have had problems with expenses through the internet and by deceptive advertising, but come on man, I do not see where I can spend 400 in elite or in any game

Unsurprisingly, people have different priorities. No doubt there are expenses that you feel are entirely reasonable, than plenty of people who have spent 400 Euro on a game would balk at.

For me, all the money spent on digital content is wasted money, that's how I see it.

Being willing to drop 20 Euro on something you feel is a waste sounds far more irrational to me than being willing to drop 400 Euro on something that one does not see as a waste.

Funny how people think that they can complain about things that are given for free, like the game updates or some virtual tokens to spend as you like.
