I am not going to write a manifesto, I didn't even make a ticket since it is useless anyway. Fact is that the last huge update froze my frontier-launcher every time.
Yes, I did read the FAQ. Yes, I de- and re-installed the launcher. Even the entire game. I erased every data on my system, tried it again. No chance.
Eventually I gave up. After 2 years of gameplay. Finally I used the last resort: the steam version which eventually worked.
Look, Frontier: if your own updates nearly break the BASE of the game, the product itself, you must change your quality control. I am not angry, just baffled. It is not my mistake that your own launcher can't handle your own huge updates anymore. Maybe your servers are not stable, maybe it is a problem with my geo-location. I don't know and as a customer I don't care. But Frontier as a company makes millions with this game. Please get at least your basic stuff together before you implement such nonsense features like ARX to a game that is barely running anymore.
