I wonder if mining is EVER going to get fixed...

I wonder if mining is EVER going to get fixed... I guess this was pushed to the 'yea, we'll get to it in 6 months to a year from now' box like so many other bugs.

And No, I am not going to bother to report it on the issue tracker, because FDev doesn't use it either. I have tickets still sitting in Confirming Status and never addressed, with multiple user 'confirmed' notes. So, if they are not going to use it, this is the best way I know to report it.

Just trying to get some dual panite mining done.... but, I guess I am going to go play some Star Citizen, or even NMS, better then this train wreck. I can't even earn a living in this game anymore. The September update was 27 days and 3 'patch patches' ago, and yet this remains. I want to play this game, but this is messed up when all I get is this mess.

I am going on an expedition soon on my main account, this was my secondary account I was going to build up to be my bubble account, while my main account was going to be on the expedition. I think now, my better bet is just to play other games instead of this one while not flying the trip. This also hurts Frontier, because I have been one of those who, as I finish a ship, I will often get a kit, and/or paint job for it. But that won't happen as long as I can't even earn an income to buy the ships to begin with. I won't be getting new ships on the expedition, so, no arx spent on that.

So, Frontier, THIS, you see this? This is costing you money. Is that motivation enough? Or perhaps I should go buy some ships in Star Citizen instead? Seems I am going to have some extra cash for it. (least I know how much I am spending when I get them there)

Meh, no one gives a crap anyway, I am wasting my time. But at least it's out there for everyone to ignore. Pft.

Must be nice to be okay with yourself on spending money on star citizens' ships. I heard those ships were lost on destruction/perma death, rather than an unlock/access purchase.

Nope, not how it works, but I am not here to support Star Citizen, you don't even understand. I am wanting to play Elite, but Elite doesn't seem to want me to play it. Trying to do some mining, and it keeps crashing, and you think I should spends ARX on that, why????

Connection error doesn't mean crash, could be literally what it says, a problem with the connection to the server. Run an extended ping test and see if that's the case. As far as star citizen ships tho, majority of them are priced in the hundreds of dollars. I doubt you were spending that much on elite's ship kits, or are saving that much from not buying arx. The numbers don't add up.

It probably takes just a little more time to actually report the issue than it does to open a thread about it on here.

Is interesting, I was saying, I want to play Elite, but it keeps crashing! Everyone goes bonkers because I might actually want to play something else, and I support the games I like. I am happy to support Elite, I get kits and paint jobs, But I have recently gotten into SC, (And that only started because I couldn't even play elite for a week or so, because of the broken Sep Update), I liked what I saw. It was a little glitchy, But at least I could roll without my frame-rate tanking, as it is prone to do in Elite. I support companies that make games I like, so, if I drop $20 or even $70 on the ARX store, or $100 on a ship, that's my choice.

And I can tell by some of what's been said that folks don't know anything bout it cept what they've heard. Well, I went and looked for my self. Again, I only did that because I couldn't even play Elite at the time. There are other space games I am backing as well. But, what I am seeing from Elite is really disappointing. I can't even sit here and say where the future of the game is headed. I've been supporting (spending $) on Elite because I still enjoy it. But, I can't very well do that if I can't even earn credits to buy the next ships, now can I?

If your wanting me to be an Elite Only player, you know what, Nope, I am not that narrow. I back games I enjoy, I don't spend crazy numbers, but I will pony up if I think the project is worth something. And I want this game to succeed, so, The issue tracker path doesn't work, and now I see, the community path doesn't work well either. Yea, I sound po in the main post, and I am, I am just trying to freaken play the game for gods sake. and I am here because I am continuously starting at the black adder screen, and it's not my connection.

But all of that is on dead ears who only heard "Star Citizen", and ignored why I was even posting, because Elite wasn't working.

Star citizen has a 28 thousand dollar microtransaction, its a scam, a cash grab

The reason elite isnt working is because you have a problem, this rarely happens anymore

I wish that was the case. I'd be Ok with just 'lost in the shuffle', but things don't get worked on, or acknowledged unless it's at melt down levels. I've known bugs that have lasted 6, 8 or even 12 months. Some of them causing you to loose your ship and needing a few days to get Frontier to reimburse your insurance cost, still leaving you with wrecked rep and missions. That process took days. I have bug reports, still in 'confirming' status that are months old with user contributed confirmed posts.

Exactly what path would you suggest?

Oh no, angry gamer threatens to play another game! Quick, appease him before the end of days is upon us!

@OP: play whatever you want, have fun. Just try to understand that ultimately nobody really cares what games you or I do or don't play. Nor will loudly yelling on a forum without getting to any kind of point influence a studio to shift priorities.

I just did. The official one.

Bottom line, I am just frustrated, I wanted a quiet session of mining, and continue to get this. No issues with my connection.

But you're not willing to report it as an issue.

You'd rather make a thread about other games (neither of which are actually real competitors) instead.
