See blaming poor Boris doesn't quite cut it, it only works if you are local to the problem. Our brethren in the good ol' US of A might want to blame Trump or even Clinton, whereas here down under in God's country (colloquially called Australia) we have an entire bleeding government we can blame for nearly everything. In fact we made sure we have enough to blame by making three levels of incompentcy (local, state and federal).

Nobody needs blaming its just how stuff pans out.
Realistic expectations.
Realistic expectation means you also have to expect meltdowns and people getting blamed though.
This is quite clearly caused by Trump/Brexit (as almost all problems are according to many)
methinks they were obsessed with exponential growth and conquering the world even before looking for additional shareholders. so it's kind of a chicken and egg problem, i guess once you have sold part of your soul to the devil stuff just gets even messier.
